The photo on the left is actual color... I lightened the one on the right to help show the cable pattern (and yes, it was snowing again when I took these pics this morning).
These are the most uber soft things ever (first shearing baby alpaca and alpaca/silk mix) and now I can't wait to finish mitt #2! Lola highly approves...or maybe she just thinks alpaca smell yummy...
Those alpacas are certainly soft. Your pic did a wonderful job of capturing the pattern.

I bought some alpaca teddy bears for my vet techs for Christmas and my dogs would not leave them alone. I had to store them on a shelf in the closet with the door shut till I gave them out. Alpaca must smell great to dogs.
