But I'm not a monogamous knitter...

I know they exist... those who have just one project cast on their needles at a time (gasp!) and work away at the project until its completion before casting on the next... Even those who (double gasp!!!) only buy yarn needed for the project they are working on, or maybe 1 or 2 coming up in their line up -- meaning those without a true "stash!" I have to shake my head and wonder how you can get out of a yarn shop without buying more ... and as I shake my head and hand over my credit card to the dear cashier, I repeat to myself "I am just doing my part to make their odd habits balance out and to give this fluffy fiber a home."

I know several friends and family members who swear by their monogamous knitting habits. Of course, there's those who claim "socks don't count" ... I say, does it count when you have 5 pairs of socks cast on? Let me raise my hand and say afghans and hooded sweaters don't count either, but of course I've never been a monogamous knitter, so what do I know? I think I was a born multi-tasker. Even as I relearned the basic stitches, I had 3 projects growing at once (one of which, a basket weave scarf, is still on the needles... I think I got bored with the "cheap" yarn and moved on to other things, knowing in the back of my mind that one day I will return to finish the rose colored scarf that may not be made from the finest of fibers, but is still made with love ... nearly 2 1/2 years later it still sits at the bottom of my knitting bag).

Here are a few items currently on my needles...

First up is the Plymouth Encore Chunky baby's diamond carseat blanket. Its a little bit more than 1/2 done and being knit on my super fabulous Zeus needles, custom made by the wonderful and talented Heather aka A Crafty Kat.

I've finished my first circular needle project and am hooked! The yellow baby hat is off the needles and I've just cast on the sage geen one...

At almost any time you'll probably find a baby bib on my needles! They knit up very quickly and I make many for gifts, as well as to sell through Lapdog Creations. Here's a photo of some on display at Spa Fina Botique in Rockport, MA

And here's one on my lovely little model, Teutul aka King Tut! (I think he enjoys modeling the furry scarves much, much better than these crazy baby bibs!)

I also currently have 2 scarves on the needles (the basket weave mentioned above and a Lamb's Pride wool number in a 2x2 rib) and I've recently cast on a cute little tank from Elann. I think that's all currently on the needles...

Well, that's all for this super hot and humid day in Southern New Hampshire... we're expecting some thunder storms (oh joy!)..........

But weren't you once a self proclaimed monogamous knitter? Did all of us "too many projects going at once" folks win you over?!?! LOL I agree- NO RULES - and I agree that I must have more than one project going at a time... :)
