We're celebrating Penny's FIRST Birthday today!
At times, it seems like just yesterday we picked up this little 8 1/2 pound bundle...
And at others, it seems like she's been with us for years.
Penny joined our family at an especially difficult time last year. For those of you who may not have been following us back then, you can read more about how Penny came into our lives here.
Penny Pinscher - as she is officially registered with AKC Canine Partners - has brought us nothing but pure love, joy and laughter. She's so easy going, loves to travel with her humans, and makes friends everywhere she goes.
She loves training and was more than happy to work on commands with my nieces and nephews. Penny passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen test at just 9 months old - a big accomplishment for both of us!
She's quite the little ham and seems to know that no one can resist her charm.
One of Penny's most favorite places to go is the race track, where she gets to cheer on her Daddy and visit with all of her fans.
My little girl has been a true lapdog since day one...
While we expected her to be twice the size she is, perhaps it's a good thing she isn't... she still climbs up in my lap to snuggle on a daily basis! And if I'm knitting, she'll just make do like this...
