Please STOP Shaking the Snowglobe

Yup, it's falling... again.  We've gotten so much snow this winter that the Southern Princess has now officially become our resident snowbunny.  She sure is having a blast romping in the tall piles!

We're expecting another 12 - 22" between today and tomorrow's storms, and like most everyone around here, my biggest question is where are we going to put it?  This is what our backyard looked like as of Saturday...

Looking out my office window right now, it looks as if some bratty kid is shaking up a snowglobe.  Sure, it looks pretty from in here, but the drive home sure won't be.  I won't dare take any snow driving pics tonight, but here are a few from my snowy morning commute last Tuesday... as you can see, the roads were pretty empty.

All this snow means ice too... in spots on the roads, as well as hanging from the roofs.  This pic is from Sunday...

We managed to knock down the ones over the front door, but can't get to the rest of them. Matt was up on the roof Saturday and again last night, clearing as much snow and ice as possible. We've heard about lots of leaks and even a few roof collapses... prevention is key! If you're able to, get out there and shovel off what you can before the next storm comes (especially hearing there could be a rain mix which makes the snow even heavier).

This storm is hitting most everyone... please stay safe!  Batten down the hatches and keep all those furbabies nice and warm.  I'm waiting on the polar bears to come and join our little wild animal kingdom out back...

We haven't used this picnic table in years and at this rate,
it feels like it could be years before we see it again...

I am off to visit 3 dogs who live in Bedford (a half hour drive from our house) and I really don't look forward to the drive at all but I know the dogs will appreciate the visit! Your roads look an awful lot like mine (I wonder why...haha)!
Please send me your e-mail address so I can send you my mailing address so that we can start playing the Pay It Forward game! My email address is misskitty32504ATyahooDOTcom.
On a side note, would you like to have doggy meet up sometime soon? But not at Hooksett Dog Park (haha)! Daisy never gets tired of meeting new friends!

We got about 3" last night. We have been very fortunate that the worst of the storms have stayed east of us. I'm afraid of if it turns to ice. We developed one roof leak, and my son is up there today figuring out how to patch it so it will hold until we get a 40 degree day. (It's a flat at the top of the roof over the master bath). The poor guy, out there shoveling the roof; I'm glad we have a break in the snow right now.

i will never forget the year I moved snow to plant flowers on Mother's Day, it wasn't fresh snow but it was taking its time melting!

Stop shaking the snow globe is an awesome phrase!
I can't believe you haven't seen your picnic table in years:)

Hope you all stay safe in this storm!

Wow, that's a lot of snow! It makes pretty pictures, but i wouldn't want to drive in it every day that's for sure.

Yikes! You had such a headstart before the big storm last night. Hope you and all of your four legged friends are keeping safe. We woke up early so we could shovel poo paths for our miniature schnauzers. Little Stinkers.
