We took a drive up to Miles Smith Farm a couple weekends ago, as I had won a prize in their online scavenger hunt that needed to be picked up (2 pounds of ground beef and a long sleeve tee). Not that I need an excuse to stop by. Their meat is fantastic and my inner shutter bug loves walking on the property, snapping away. Plus, the owners are involved in rescuing dogs from St. Croix, USVI and are often bringing puppies back to be adopted out up here. So a "quick stop" can turn into an hour or two with me taking pictures of the beautiful Highlanders (no, I will not think of these beauties as what's available in the store, so please don't try to remind me) and buying product, as well as getting a good 'ole dose of puppy breath! On this visit, we were greeted by two adorable little furballs, Rondo and Java...
That's Rondo on the left and Java on the right. These two were super playful and as you can tell, it was hard to get Java to sit still (he was more interested in eating the camera than posing for it).
Aren't they stinking adorable (excuse the crazy dog lady shadow)? I borrowed the picture below from the Miles Smith Farm website so you can see curious Java a little better. Sure looks like the boys had a blast in the snow!
If you are interested in these little tykes, check out this post for more info. Personally, I think the pair should be adopted out together. They already seem like best buds and have a great time wrestling! If we didn't already have 4....
Speaking of the 4, I can't let a Dogs on Thursday post go by without them, right? I'll share my Highlander pictures tomorrow.
These are the looks (or lack thereof in Zeus' case) Mama gets when the Lapdogs hear she "cheated" on them by playing with some really cute puppies...
So much cuteness... and energy in the little ones. I'm liking that my girls are settling into their adult personalities and doing more sitting on the sofa!
ReplyDeleteI'l bet you got sniffed all over when you got home. Those were cute pups.
ReplyDeleteBoy I bet your furbabies noses were stuck to you like glue as soon as you walked in...lol I can't even move when I get home from being around another animal cuz they are sniffing so hard! What fun!
ReplyDeleteCute guys! The visited and yours, of course. Everyone loves puppy breath.
ReplyDeleteWe've already discussed my weirdness with not liking puppy breath. The dogs are cute, though. lol
