Ten on Tuesday: Go Away Winter

This week's Ten on Tuesday topic is rather fitting for those of us who continue to have that white crap dumped on us, week after week... 10 Reasons Why You are Ready for Winter to be OVER.
#morning #drive #newengland #snow #winter #enoughalready
1. Snow.  Sure, it was pretty the first hundred few times this winter, but it's time for it to go.

2. Driving in the Snow. Despite living in New England where it, you know, snows, it seems everyone forgets how to drive in it.  And don't even get me started on the idiots who think they can drive 90 in their SUV's in the snow and ice.

Icicles_po_24113. Ice and slush from the melting and refreezing.... EVERYWHERE.  So much for wearing any nice shoes for awhile.

4. Static Cling. I can't stand this out of control static hair.

5. MUD... from all the snow melting. If we're going to go through the mud issue, then let's get to spring and just be done with it. I don't need muddy paws in the middle of winter.

#Blizzard2013 #Nemo #snow6. Dry Skin.  I have hand lotions and lip balms stashed everywhere.  "Don't leave home without it"

7. Nemo.  One word, one name... one bitch of a storm!

8. Sick People... especially those who get me sick, which I am now and it's no fun.  I'm not a good sick person.

-59. Bitter Cold. I'm a fall girl... I like my cool long-sleeve-tee-wearing-pretty-leaf-peeping temps. I do.not.like.bitter.cold!

10. Winter Outerwear.  Let's face it, most of it is not pretty (except the handknit hats, mitts and scarves, of course) and it only adds bulk.

I am with you on this one. I hate winter and loved the 7 weeks we just spent in Arizona. I'm not thrilled to be back in the snow and cold. Hopefully we can get the hell out of her soon. Bring on the spring!!

  3. Woof! Woof! I came back because I want to play in the SNOW. The cold air is actually refreshing but we totally understand why you want it to be over. Hey this topic of 10 gave us an idea. Happy Tuesday and feel better. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  4. I'm with you but you haven't convinced Fudge.

Having young puppies in winter is rough. You can't tell them to hold it while you get your boots and mittens on.

Sorry you're sick. I got it around Christmas.

  6. Try to appreciate winter from a dog's point of view. That makes it way more fun for me. Wrigs loves the cold and snow, and he has such a blast romping in it! Can't help but love it because of that. :-)

  7. I have static cling hair, too. I am ready for spring. I've been living on Advil cold & sinus during the day and Theraflu at night for the past few days.

And trust me, having moved from New England to Tennessee, the idiots up north are waaaayyyy better than the idiots down south in the snow. I can't tell you how many of them informed me that I drive wrong in the snow, and you need to give it full throttle to just power through the snow....and often up a tree or into a ditch.

  8. Marjie is so right. You might think your drivers are nuts but I assure you that in VA, when it snows, people's inner NASCAR comes out for some reason.

Your list is why I told my husband (well, he's heard it more than once) that we will NEVER live north of where we are now. Great list.

  10. I'm with you all the way. We haven't had a lot of snow, but we've had a crap ton of rain this winter. I'm ready for some bright, sunny, days and no more mud!!!
