Solid Gold Garlic Doggie Bagels

Where to Find: Chewy.com

We're working on our October @chewy review for the blog! #SolidGold #DoggieBagels #dogstagram #instadog #dogtreats #adoptdontshop #coonhoundmix #seniordog IMG_20141013_130952_617-1

Solid Gold Garlic Doggie Bagels used to be a staple in our house back when Zeus & Lola were youngsters.  I'm not really sure why they've fallen off our radar, but when I saw them as an option for treats to review from our pals over at Chewy.com this month, I knew we had to get them.

And, I'm pretty sure my seniors remembered the vibrant garlic smell as soon as I tore open the bag!  What do you think?

Solid Gold Garlic Doggie Bagels are exactly as the name implies.  A hard, crunchy bagel shaped dog treat, with a very distinct garlic flavor (seriously, these smell almost good enough to toast and cover in cream cheese).  These vegetarian bagels are made with spelt wheat, barley, pumpernickel and real garlic.  The bagels are quite large in size, as you can see from the photos, however they can easily be crunched up into smaller bites.

As I mentioned, we used to buy these treats all the time.  We were first turned onto them during a sampling event at one of our local pet food stores.  As a doggy parent, I loved that they were made in the USA with only the finest quality ingredients (Solid Gold was one of the first pet food companies in the United States to use all-natural ingredients in their products).  The fact that Solid Gold puts dried bay leaves inside the bag to help keep the bagels fresh was just icing on the cake.  As taste testers, Zeus and Lola both instantly loved the garlic-y goodness.  And now, Sophie and Tut are enjoying them as well.

IMG_20141013_131113_389-1We'll definitely be adding Solid Gold Garlic Doggie Bagels back into our treat rotation! They come in 14.4oz re-sealable bags that stay fresh for quite awhile.  Check them out over at Chewy.com, where 1-2 day shipping is always free on orders of $49 or more! We just stocked up on our canned food and I have to say, free shipping on a box that heavy, plus having it arrive on our doorstep within just a couple of days, is truly wonderful!  Thank you Chewy!  Zeus thanks you too, after all it was his favorite canned food that just arrived.  He thinks all of the doggies in blog-land deserve some Solid Gold Garlic Doggie Bagels!

Disclosure: Chewy.com sent a bag of Solid Gold Garlic Doggie Bagels to Lapdog Creations, free of charge for review purposes. I was not compensated for this review and all opinions expressed are my own.

  5. Those first pictures surely do look like your pack remembers those bagels! You'd better eat some garlic bread when they're eating these, so you'll all have garlic breath together!
