Just like people, not all dogs have the same needs when it comes to proteins, calories and fat, and many have food sensitives or allergies. Fortunately, there are lots of options available, however sorting through all of the labels and nutrition information is time consuming, and often quite confusing.
Finding the perfect food for our dogs is a daunting task, but once you find the Best Food Ever for your dog, you'll quickly realize it was all worth it!

The Best Pet Ever Deserves The Best Food Ever. That's a powerful statement, and it's been Merrick Pet Care's philosophy for over 25 years.
Merrick, founded in 1988 by Garth Merrick and his family, has built their brand with a simple goal in mind - making the wholesome, nutritious recipes that pets deserve.
The innovative brand has grown and evolved over the years to include many recipes and special diets, making Merrick a leader in the pet food industry. Using only USDA-inspected deboned meat and fresh produce from trusted farmers, all of the recipes are still handcrafted in their Hereford, Texas kitchen where it all began 28 years ago.
Their award-winning Grain Free dry recipes were first introduced in 2004 with chicken, beef or buffalo as the first ingredient. In 2012, the "Real Food Revolution" was started and the Grain Free line was reformulated. The result was unsurpassed quality, nutrition, and taste -- the best food ever for your best dog ever!

Both of my girls have been eating Merrick Grain Free Real Chicken and Sweet Potato for quite some time now, and both absolutely love it.
While I chose the recipe to meet Sophie's food allergy needs, it's been a nice fit for Penny as well. The Grain Free formulas were designed to support overall health for all life stages and breeds, so it doesn't matter if you have a couch-potato senior, or a super active adolescent. The nutritional content meets both of their needs.
The all-natural, grain free recipe provides quality protein, as well as farm-fresh fruits and vegetables. Deboned chicken is the first ingredient, and helps comprise the 70% of meat sourced ingredients that help build and maintain lean, healthy muscle. The 30% fresh produce rounds out the grain free diet with sweet potatoes, peas, apples, and blueberries, offering vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
Plus, Merrick includes industry-leading levels of Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids to promote a healthy skin and coat, as well as powerful levels of glucosamine and chondroitin for healthy hips and joints.
My girls love the taste, while I love the quality nutrition they are getting. That means Merrick Grain Free hit a homerun at our house! Plus, we use their canned recipes as a mix-in at dinner time for all three dogs (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner is a current favorite), and they all love the entire treat line. I suppose that means Merrick should be considered a grand-slam?
No matter what you call it, my Best Dogs Ever are happy with their Best Food Ever... and now you have a chance to win some for your favorite pup!
