Look Who's 2 - Happy Birthday Penny!

Can you believe it? The youngest Lapdog is turning 2 today!

Happy Birthday Penny!

On one hand, it seems like we were just celebrating her first birthday - and on the other, it seems like she's been a part of our family forever.

The once 8.5 lb bundle that landed at our house is now teetering around 50 lbs and continues to bring us nothing but joy and happiness.

Penny is such a happy-go-lucky, easy-going girl, just like her big angel sister Lola (which is probably why it seems like she's been around for so long). She's happy to go on an adventure and will chase a ball for hours, but still loves to crawl up and cuddle with her humans.

 

She may be a pesky little sister from time to time, but Penny sure has taught our seniors how to play and be silly all over again. That is, when they're not piled up for a snooze fest.

She may be petite, but her personality is big, and she's not afraid to show it.

Penny really enjoys traveling and just being with her humans. She's been going to her Daddy's races since she was 10 weeks old, so it's no surprise that the race track is one of her favorite places. After all, she has lots of friends at the track - human & canine - and our social girl needs to visit them.

Penny also loves to train and learn new things. After she completed her AKC Canine Good Citizen test at just 9 months old, I knew I had to find some other "work" for her to do. At the suggestion of the obedience trainer, we started looking for a local nose work class and signed up last August. To say Penny loves it is an understatement! We'll be telling you more about nose work in the coming months, so stay tuned.

It's been an adventurous, exciting, and loving almost-two years (her gotcha day is in May).
