Casey Jones Bones Make Everything Better
Monday, already? It seems the weekends fly by faster and faster every week.
The Lapdogs were not very pleased with the mischief their humans got into this weekend. We left them home alone on Friday evening, then again on Saturday.
In our defense, it was for a good cause. We were displaying the race car and manning the NELCAR booth at The Racer's Expo. We met a lot of new people, saw many old faces and had a great time with our racing family.
And yes, we were handed out lots of samples of Casey Jones Bones. They truly are the best sponsor ever, just ask Tut & Lola! All four of the Lapdogs would do anything for a CJB, especially the seasonal Wheat Free Cranberry Mint flavor.
They humans spent all day yesterday making up for their mischief with lots of snuggles, scratchies and yes, treats. After all, a handful of Casey Jones Bones makes everything better.
Apparently, our human mischief was so taxing on the boys that they were even caught sharing a couch together. Seriously, this happens next to never!
What mischief did you bring about this past weekend?

Winter Wonderland
Greetings from Winter Wonderland! We got another 10" or so of the white stuff yesterday.
I spent my snow day at home with the Lapdogs. It started falling around 6:30 am and continued all day long at a fast and steady pace. Here's a shot ofSnowphie my snow bunny Sophie checking it out after breakfast...
We went outside to play after lunch, but didn't last too long. The snow was still coming down pretty hard and the wind made it a little less than fun. This is what we stepped out the door to...
I posted a couple of cute snow romping videos on Instagram, but since they're not transferable to Flickr, you'll have to wait until I have a chance to upload them to You Tube (can't all social media just play nice together?). And of course, most of my great dog shots are on the camera and still need to be downloaded. In the meantime, how about this cute one of Sophie being all snugly while I was knitting and catching up with Grimm on my DVR...
We had a wonderful lazy, snugly afternoon. Here's the gratuitous shot of my truck buried in the snow sometime late in the day...
Since I don't have too many cute "dogs in the snow" pics to share, I'll give you this one of Zeus in honor of Throw Back Thursday. It's my big guy from several years ago, looking quite statuesque in the snow... if I do say so myself.
So, how about you... did you get a dumping of the white stuff again this week? Have a fun snow day at home?

Thanks to the great folks over at Chewy, our Tuesday is indeed tasty this week! This month, we received a bag of Nutro Ultra Wild Blueberry & Pomegranate Biscuits for review.
First impressions are everything, and these Nutro Ultra round biscuits sure make a great one! As soon as I opened the bag, there was the amazing berry smell. All of the Lapdogs noticed too...Made in the USA with super-premium whole foods to promote the health and well-being of dogs, Nutro Ultra treats will make both you and your dog happy. Just ask the Lapdogs, who clearly gave the round discs of yumminess their Official 16 Paws Up Seal of Approval before I could even finish snapping photos for the review. In fact, Zeus was so quick and decisive, he ran off with a mouth full of treats before I could say "bad dog."
Featuring a unique blend of nutrient-dense, super-food ingredients designed to deliver superior functional benefits to your dog’s vitality, these treats don't just taste great, they serve a function too. The Wild Blueberry & Pomegranate Antioxidant Blend biscuits are naturally loaded with powerful, cleansing antioxidants, which help support your dog’s immune system, heart health, and longevity.
Additionally, Nutro Ultra biscuits are naturally preserved and free of wheat, ground yellow corn, corn gluten meal, soy, artificial colors & flavors, and fillers. This makes them a great choice for allergy-prone pooches! We will definitely be adding Nutro Ultra biscuits to our regular treat rotation - will you? REVIEW: Woodland Knits
Woodland Knits
by Stephanie Dosen
Paperback: 128 PagesPublisher: Taunton Press, Inc. (October 8, 2013)
If you're anything like me - a knitter who loves creating fun things - you're already smiling just by looking at the cover of Woodland Knits. Am I right? Just wait until you have a look inside...
Woodland Knits is a collection of 20 quick-knits from designer and singer/songwriter Stephanie Dosen. While many of the patterns had been previously released, this is your first chance to get them all in one place - along with some irresistible new patterns. However, if you're like me and apparently living under a rock, they're all new-to-me patterns.
Woodland Knits features charming scarves, sweaters, hats, capes/ponchos, hand warmers... even a delightful set of faerie wings. My personal favorites are...
- Garden Gate & Ivy - a beautiful, reversible cowl featuring climbing filigree and ivy vines on one side, pinstripes on the other
- Meow Mitts - inspired by the sweet kittens on vintage Valentine's cards, these mitts are worked flat and sewn up, leaving a thumbhole as you go
- Mr. Fox Stole My Heart - a very foxy (yes, pun intended) stole or collar that will surely keep you warm all winter long
- Catching Butterflies - okay, so maybe I'm a little obsessed with fingerless mitts, but these are so pretty... they feature a delicate butterfly on the palm of each hand, making it fun to see what you've "caught" every time you flip your hands over
Whether you're already a fan of Stephanie's patterns or not, Woodland Knits is a great addition to your bookshelf. Pick up a copy today!
About the Author: Stephanie Dosen is an American singer-songwriter-turned-knitter who lives in London and Colorado. Stephanie sells her patterns online via her blog and Ravelry, and has been featured in a variety of magazines. Her Deer Hat with Little Antlers has gained iconic status within the world of quirky, contemporary knits. Stephanie teaches throughout Europe and North America.
