It's Wednesday... time to get wordless!

Although the Lapdogs didn't get to go to either, their humans recently had a great weekend that consisted of an amazing performance of Cirque du Soleil's Kurios and a trip to the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center. 

The Lapdogs, on the other hand, had a not-so-exciting weekend that involved the dreaded B-word (that would be baths)...

 

note: we've seen a lot of Cirque du Soleil shows over the years, and I just have to tell you that Kurios is one of the best ever - go see it if you get the chance!

Wordless Wednesday: Little Blue Men

Time to get wordless...

Shh... don't tell the Lapdogs, but the humans snuck away for a couple of hours on Saturday night to visit with some not-so-little blue men... and women.  We took in a performance of Cirque du Soleil's brand new show, Toruk - The First Flight. 

Being a huge Cirque fan, I have to be honest and say this was my least favorite of the countless shows I've seen.  The visuals, effects and scenery were amazing, but Toruk is more of a story/play and features less of the amazing one-of-a-kind Cirque acts that we're used to. I'm definitely glad we went, but it's not one I would choose to go see again. Besides, we were front row for this performance and it would be hard to top that...

Wordless Wednesday: Be Thankful and Shop Local

Happy Almost Turkey Day!  Get those stretchy pants ready... and let's get wordless.

Don't forget to shop local this season!  And, think beyond just the typical gifts... perhaps some wonderfully crafted adult beverages?  The humans had the pleasure of touring two local distilleries recently... and yes, sampling some amazing New Hampshire Made vodka, rum, bourbon and moonshine.  If you're ever in the area, be sure to check out Smoky Quartz Distillery (veteran owned and operated!) and Sea Hagg Distillery. 

Wordless Wednesday: Lightly Haunted

Happy last Wordless Wednesday of October... only four more weeks until Thanksgiving and eight until Christmas. Now that's scary...

The humans visited Haunted Overload (winner of ABC's The Great Halloween Fright Fight in 2014) last week on one of the "light" nights.  I was anxious to really get to see the amazing scenes and creatures they create (you seriously need to stand next to one of these gigantic things to fully appreciate their size), so this worked out better than going on a regular scary night. We were able to take our time walking through, taking in all of the amazing scenes, but without any actors jumping out (which meant I had a chance to snap a few photos, although quality isn't the best from a very foggy forest).  If you're into Halloween and are in New England, this is a must visit!
