Fruitables

"Combining nature's fruit and vegetable superfoods...

they're Fruitables."

The very first thing you will notice when you open a package of Fruitables dog treats is the delicious smell. Since we're still waiting on scratch 'n sniff interent... picture the most decadent pumpkin muffin, fresh from the oven with hints of cinnamon, vanilla and other fruits. The aroma is nothing short of amazing! I'd totally buy a Fruitables scented candle if they marketed it!

Fruitables dog treats measure 1" in diameter and are just 7.4 calories each - making them perfect for all dogs, big and small, and even those watching their wasteline. They come in four "pumpkin powered" varities - apple, banana, blueberry and cranberry. "Pumpkin Powered" - Nature's superfood - rich in antioxidants, Vitamins A, C & E are a good source of dietary fiber and low in fat and sodium. A natural flavor that dogs love. (read more nutrition information here) Fruitables are available in two convenient sizes, 1.4 oz and 7 oz.

Dave DeLorenzo, President of President Vetscience LLC-Fruitables says "We deeply believe that treats and digestive health are not exclusive of each other and strive to deliver the highest quality, thoroughly researched and tested products to pet parents everywhere!"

I couldn't agree more and am thrilled to have found a company based on such beliefs. As a cautious dog Mom, I feel good about feeding my pack Fruitables. Not only are they Made in the USA (one of my top priorities in selecting treats), they are baked in a Certified Organic Facility. Fruitables are free of wheat, corn, soy and artificial ingredients, colors and preservatives.

The Lapdogs were all in agreement that each flavor of Fruitables is more delicious than the next! Even Zeus, who has a strong dislike for bananas, loved all four varities (shh... just keep the B-word to yourselves)! Fruitables are definitely a tasty win-win situation for everyone!

Fruitables also makes a canned Pumpkin Digestive Supplement which Lola just couldn't wait to get her nose on. The supplement is fortified for both cats and dogs and is nature's perfect little helper (and vet recommended) for upset tummy, loose stool, food transition, and weight loss - only 68 calories per cup! Combining harvest fresh pumpkin, ginger and cinnamon in a food supplement that tastes as good as it works, Pumpkin Digestive Supplement is a great tool to keep on hand (you can freeze leftovers in ice cube trays for extended freshness and cool treats).

Fruitables clearly received the 16 Paws Up Lapdog Seal of Approval from the taste testers and 4 thumbs up from the humans! They will most definitely be one of our staple treats.

Springy Friday

Okay, everyone say it with me now..... TGIF!!! It looks as though the very spring-like weather is going to stick around New England at least through most of the weekend... woo hoo! The kids have been enjoying it as much as they can once the humans get home from work and the extra hour of daylight is a great help.

The other night I headed out on the back porch with a few items for upcoming reviews and they were more than willing to help with the photo shoot. Here are a couple of outtakes from a review that my fellow knitting doggy mamas won't want to miss...

4Dogs_TBihnBag_31710d 4Dogs_TBihnBag_31710c

Stay tuned to read all about it, as well as Fruitables dog treats, The Stitch Collection, Lexie Barnes "Betty" needle case, Big Daddy Biscuits, Vogue Knitting Stitchionary Volume Five (I'll be giving away 2 copies!), Skacel "Not So Plane Knitter's Bag" and more! Speaking of reviews, if you have not yet entered to win a copy of 60 Quick Knits, you still have time!

I'll leave you on this fine Friday with some Fill-Ins...

1. Today I will be watching the clock, waiting for quitting time.

2. You ask why and I say why not?

3. What do you think of this health care bill saga?

4. At Starbucks it's free Pastry Day til 1030 Friday! (yes, I had to google to find that answer)

5. People say that what we're all seeking is the meaning of life.

6. The image I cherish most is not necessarily one single image, but several of family, friends and happy times.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a relaxing evening at home, tomorrow my plans include a day with family and Sunday, I want to watch the Bristol race!

REVIEW: 60 Quick Knits

60 Quick Knits: 20 Hats * 20 Scarves * 20 Mittens in Cascade 220
Paperback: 160 pages
Publisher: Sixth&Spring Books (April 6, 2010)

60QuickKnits_410

Two questions. Who doesn't have a skein of Cascade 220 in their stash? Who wouldn't want a copy of 60 Quick Knits in their knitting library?

With its low price and superior quality, Cascade 220 has long been one of the most popular yarns in the world. In fact, it currently ranks #1 on Ravelry.com. Affordability, quality worsted weight wool, excellent yardage and endless colors are just a few of the many reasons why Cascade 220 has such a devoted following.

60 Quick Knits is a delightful collection of hat, scarf and mitten patterns for everyone from beginners to seasoned knitters. The designs are what I would call "classically current" - you'll find fingerless mitts and fun hats, but nothing that is going out of style next week! Whether you're looking to knit something for yourself or for a gift, you'll find a design that fits - a monkey hat for your favorite little one, fair aisle mittens for your Mom or a mitered scarf for your best friend - they're all here. You will definitely not be lacking gift making inspiration!

Some of my favorite patterns include... Scalloped-Edge Beanie, a tight fitting lacey feminine number; Cables & Wraps Scarf, with its ancient Egyptian motifs this is sure to get you a few "oohs" and "aahs;" Puppy Mittens, need I say more?; Textured Tam, a beautiful beret with cables and double moss stitch; Lion Scarf, a ferociously cute scarf that I can not wait to make!

Whether you're knitting for yourself or gifts, 60 Quick Knits will surely keep your needles clicking. This is a must-add to the knitting library!

REVIEW: LuShae Jewelry

LuShae Jewelry: Briolette Central pendant
Where To Find:
LuShae Jewelry

Pendant2

When Sarah from LuShae Jewelry contacted me and asked if I would be interested in reviewing a piece from their line, I was very intrigued. After all, who doesn't love new jewelry? I was given the opportunity to pick any piece from their line and after going back and forth looking at all of my options, I chose the Briolette Central pendant.

Pendant

Briolette Central is a white gold rhodium drop pendant featuring a multi-faceted brown topaz briolette in silvertone. The curvature of metal work encompassing a large faceted briolette makes for a beautiful pendant. LuShae Jewelry says "White gold rhodium bond is achieved using an electroplating process that coats the item with heavy layers of rhodium, a close cousin of platinum that costs three times as much, which gives our jewelry a platinum luster."

Pendant3

A feature that I really appreciate is the chain, which is 16 inches long and comes with a 2 inch extender, allowing for 3 completely different lengths to wear the pendant. This flexibility is something that I look for when purchasing jewelry, after all it only gives you more opportunities to wear the piece!

LuShae Jewelry is a privately owned company, committed to providing an excellent buying experience. They follow celebrity and fashion trends sourcing the most contemporary high grade pieces available and ensuring unmatched quality and value. LuShae Jewelry currently offers rings, pendants and earrings. If you're in the market to add to your collection or in need of a gift, check them out!
