Thankful Thursday: TSO Traditions

I'm taking this Thankful Thursday post in a little different direction than normal...

Today I'm thankful for traditions shared with the Lapdogs' Daddy, no matter how big or small.  We kick off our holiday season by going to see Trans Siberian Orchestra... and they never, ever disappoint! Here are some photos from last week's amazing show.

Sometimes it's the little or simple things that keep us grounded during such a busy, rush-rush-rush season.  What are you thankful for today?

'Tis The Season... TSO Style!

Happy Tuesday!  Has everyone recovered from their turkey coma by now?  Did you get your shopping on with Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday?  Better yet, are you now in full swing for all things holiday?!?!

We have been going to see Trans Siberian Orchestra for several years now, and as of late it seems our show falls on/right around Thanksgiving weekend.  2012 was no exception, as we spent Saturday night witnessing yet another amazing show!

This year's tour was a brand new show, as the band is performing the entire The Lost Christmas Eve album.  This meant they brought back some of my most favorite songs that have fallen out of the shows rotation over the past few years... including What Is Christmas and Christmas Nights In Blue...

My fellow TSO fans know that many of these musicians have been in the rock music world for years.  It's always great seeing them on stage again...

If TSO is coming to a town near you and you have never had the pleasure of experiencing one of their shows, GO!!!! You won't be disappointed!

Seriously folks, you have to check out a TSO show live...

It was yet another impressive TSO show... and yes, I wish I could go see it again!

So Tell Me Christmas, Are We Kind?

Sure, it's only November 8, but last night was my personal kick off to the holiday season... the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert.  Once again (thank you fan club tickets), we were up front and center in the fourth row.  Some of the usual suspects were missing from this tour, but the newbies did not disappoint and the show rocked...

I think I took more photos last night that at any other TSO show -over 100!- so you'll have to excuse the picture heavy post on this rainy Monday afternoon.

A band that cares... TSO donates $1 from each ticket sold to a local charity and presents the check pre-show.  Last night $4,325 was donated to a local radio station's "Lend a Helping Can" charity.  Mid-show Chris always shows some local sports loyalty and last night, came out in a Manchester Monarchs jersey.

TSO in April?

Trans-Siberian Orchestra rolled their "Beethoven's Last Night Tour" into Beantown last Thursday and I had the pleasure of being front and center... literally! We were in the third row, dead center!

The best narrator in the business, Bryan Hicks and the one-and-only, Chris Caffery...

What's that? You say TSO only tours during the holidays? Yes, this is something new ... and a can. not. miss. show! In one word? Amazing.

Jay Pierce as "Twist" and Rob Evan as "Beethoven"...

We usually don't get to see Al Pitrelli play and hear the amazing voice of Jeff Scott Soto (as "The Devil"), as both are in the West Coast production at Christmas time...

The show was at the Wang in Boston. Here's the view looking back at all the people from our seats...
