REVIEW: EVO Wild Cravings

EVO Wild Cravings

Where to Find: Chewy.com

 Tut is hard at work this morning... #review #EVO #WildCravings #dogtreats #dogstagram #instadog #rescued #coonhoundmix

The Lapdogs are never disappointed when a box from Chewy.com shows up on our doorstep and this month was no exception.

UntitledWe received a big bag of EVO Wild Cravings Red Meat Formula Dog Treats.  As soon as I tore the bag open, my curious furkids were instantly lined up and ready to work.

Sure, I'll get to how great these are for our dogs in just a moment, but if you're like me, you've probably already noticed one of the first things I did as soon as I opened the bag of EVO Wild Cravings.... the super cute shapes! There are four in all; a heart, a bone, a triangle and what I'm calling a donut (a circle with a cut-out in the center). Not only are the shapes cute, they're perfectly bite-sized for the Lapdogs.

UntitledNow that the cuteness is covered, we can chat about the more important stuff.

EVO Wild Cravings treats are made to complement the feeding of EVO Dog Food and/or a raw diet by supplying a high protein and low carbohydrate level, plus a balanced nutritional profile for keeping dogs fit.  The highest quality proteins are combined with whole fruits and vegetables to supply important, health promoting nutrients that dogs would find foraging for food.  What these treats do not contain are empty calories, artificial flavors, or grains of any kind.

Untitled
As a dog-Mom who is always concerned with what I'm feeding my furkids, I was extremely happy to see a list of familiar ingredients on the back of the bag of Red Meat Formula; beef, lamb meal, potatoes, eggs, sunflower oil, peas, apples, carrots, tomatoes, cottage cheese, pumpkin, dried chicory root, vitamins and minerals. I love when I can not only pronounce all of the ingredients, but actually feel good about giving them to my pack as well.

Made in the USA, EVO Wild Cravings treats and are currently available in three flavors - Turkey & Chicken, Herring and Red Meat.  Being a multi-dog household, I always tend to look for larger size boxes or bags of treats and was pleasantly surprised to see the Red Meat formula came in a generous 20oz size bag.

For those of you with feline kids, they also make two varieties specifically for cats; Herring & Salmon and Turkey & Chicken.

UntitledThe Lapdogs certainly loved EVO Wild Cravings, and although we do not currently feed EVO food or a raw diet, I think they can supplement the diet we do feed quite nicely.  We'll certainly try the other two formulas in the coming months.

Sophie says, have a heart, go grab some EVO Wild Cravings for your own pack!  As always, all orders over $49 placed at Chewy.com receive free 1-2 day shipping so place your order today and by early next week your dogs will be showering you with drool to say "thanks!"

We do not feed our dogs raw but my Prince is on a diet and these look like something he would love and I would feel good giving him. We are always looking for healthy snacks for our pups and these look like them fit the bill.

EVO is a great company. It's what I was feeding the girls when we discovered Sissy's extensive food allergies and I was sad that they didn't have anything that fit for us. Now though, they have a fish treat that is the current favorite!
