National Love Your Pet Day #LoveYourPetEveryDay

Is it just me, or does it seem like every day is a national something-something-something day?

If you look at one of those "days of the year" websites, you may actually be surprised to learn that there are multiple things to celebrate every day... never mind the weekly and monthly celebrations.

Most are just for fun, while some are meant to bring awareness to a great cause.  Today is one that we absolutely had to bring to your attention.

It's National Love Your Pet Day!

On February 20th, pet lovers everywhere observe National Love Your Pet Day. This unofficial national holiday is a day set aside to give extra attention to and pamper your pets. This is a good day to focus on the special relationship that you have with your pets. - NationalDayCalendar.com

Of course, Teutul, Penny and Sophie are celebrated and loved every day in the Lapdog household, as I suspect your fur kids are as well.  However, this doesn't mean we can't celebrate just a little more than usual today - right? 

Perhaps a little extra cuddle time, a longer walk, a car ride, a few more tosses of the ball or an extra special treat.  After all, they give us nothing but unconditional love and pure joy each and every day.

PS - Today is also National Cherry Pie Day.  Go ahead... enjoy a slice while cuddling on the couch and watching your favorite show with your pet tonight.
