Life is Short, Play in the Dirt #WordlessWednesday

Wednesday already? Oh rather, mid-June already? I've been meaning to tell you all about our container garden for a few weeks now... I guess there's no time like the present, right?

Life is short, Play in the dirt... just not the dirt inside the planters! #dobermanpuppy #containergarden #LapdogCreations ©LapdogCreations

As you can see, I had a lot of help planting...

Our 2016 Container Garden is off to a good start with some basics. The Lapdogs were great helpers... #rescuedog #adoptdontshop #containergarden #LapdogCreations ©LapdogCreations

Teutul seems to remember these things make his Mama happy...

Teutul knows how to make his #dogmom happy: Garden Tomatoes + Basil + A Smiling Dog = Happy Mama #seniordog #rescuedog #adoptdontshop #containergarden #LapdogCreations ©LapdogCreations

Sophie clearly is not impressed...

Sophie says if she can't eat or play with what's growing in the garden, there's no use for it! #seniordog #houndmix #containergarden #LapdogCreations ©LapdogCreations

We'll keep you posted on the Lapdog Container Garden (because, yes, they really do think it's all for them). Enjoy the rest of your day!

We used to have a container garden but some people here do not have green thumbs (or any other green fingers for that matter). Sigh...

Excellent motto!

Is there a special reason it's not for them? Maybe you think dogs don't like tomatoes? Silly Mom. Dogs like what you like. Hope your containers are very fruitful.

We're forbidden from the yard when mom is planting her pots. She knows better than planting in the ground it gets trampled or eaten! Love Dolly

Mr. N would also be severely tempted to pee on it lol. We tried doing a community garden once but it didn't fare well.

I can't get over how cute the little fire hydrant is. Happy gardening!

That is a really impressive container garden your mom put together! We gave up on trying to garden last year since ours never does well - We just don't have enough sun in our yard! I hope you have a great harvest from yours!

Love the idea of a container garden! We've attempted raised beds before, which had some success, but this might be something else to consider too! Thanks for sharing your photos and for this idea! I hope to hear of how things "grow" from this point on :)

Container gardens are the best because they are sort of a cute, mini garden! Oh no - peeing on plants? Hee hee hee!

We have container tomatoes. They have done great for the last couple of years. It helps to stop them from growing out of control but they still produce fruit.

I used to have a huge garden and miss it so much. We’ve been trying container gardening for the last few years with mixed results. Of course, Piper loves to eat the violas when they bloom ;-)

Mom just has a couple pots of plants this year. It's so hot that they're cooking.
