Its all in the Sign

Happy Doggy Day... and fall stay-cation day #2 for me. I'm getting ready to head off to the zoo... yes, I mean the kind with furry, 4-legged creatures!

Since its doggy day, what better reason to share this great sign that a friend got me for my birthday... she knows me well!

I think the kids wished my stay-cation consisted of more R-I-D-E-S and sitting on the couch with them, but... they'll have plenty of time for that later. In the meantime...

SCORE!

If you read regularly, you know that I'm a Boston girl and I love my Bruins. Well, I'm SO excited to be able to say that I just scored two seats to the NHL Winter Classic at Fenway on New Year's Day!!! woo hoo!!!!!!!!

Today is my Friday at work (so another woo hoo!) ... tomorrow I'm headed into Beantown to see Lenny Kravitz and Friday I'll be heading to Stitches East... anyone else going? I will plan to keep up with regular weekly blogging during my stay-cation... enjoy the rest of your week!

Fall Snow!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. After two late nights in a row, I got to sleep in yesterday and awoke to this...

Yes, that's snow... and foliage. A few hours later I turned the Patriots game on and the field at Gillette was white. I looked back outside and saw this..

A cold, snowy fall New England day + Mommy & Daddy being out late 2 nights in a row = 4 overly cuddly dogs.... they spent most all dog cuddled up on the couches with us.

The hooey hounds were stuck to me for hours...

Suprisingly, there was next to no knitting completed this weeked... sigh.

Happy Friday! Its going to be a busy weekend around here. We have a movie premiere to attend tonight (yes, I said movie premiere... in NH.. red carpet and all) and Matt's band is playing a gig tomorrow night. He's also playing the after party for the premiere tonight... Of course both will be fun, but I already can't wait to hit the couch to watch football and knit on Sunday! The gig just happens to fall on the only night race in the Chase... anyone out there willing to text me updates Saturday night (go Smoke!)?

4. A red carpet of some sort, is what I hear I'll be walking on tonight.

5. I walk a fine line of clumsy.

6. The joy of owning dogs, smiling and loving is the true elixir of life!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to "The Boys" movie premiere, tomorrow my plans include the Bad Lola gig and Sunday, I want to be lazy... sit on the couch with Matt & the dogs, watch football, knit... maybe toss something in the slow cooker!

Its been getting chilly around here (did I mention its now both hand-knit sock and fingerless mitt weather)! Chilly - Mommy holding out on turning on the heat (electric heat... I was hoping for Nov 1st but think we might have to give in sooner) = cuddly hooey hounds...

The cooler weather also means that Teutul has returned to his favorite tv watching spot (did someone say football?)...

For all of our local friends, Lola wants to remind you that Daddy's band Bad Lola (she still doesn't quite understand that and thinks that Queen Lola would be much more fitting) is playing on Saturday night! Message us for the where/when if you need it!

Happy Birthday to my Mom... an amazing friend and mother, a cancer survivor who inspires me on a daily basis...

Not only is she a grandmother of 12 (8 two-legged, 4 four-legged), this past February she became a great grandmother...

She's always behind a camera, can you tell where I got my love of photography from?
