My mother always told me not to play with my food.

It's a good thing all of my kids have four legs because not only do I let my kids play with their food, I've actually been encouraging them to do so!

Our friends at Chewy.com sent an Outward Hound Kibble Drop toy over for us to test out and we've been having a blast with it.  (note: at the time of this post, the Kibble Drop was currently out of stock at Chewy, so if you click that link and get a "not currently available" message, please try again in a couple of days)

Just like us humans, our dogs get bored.  They need playtime, stimulation and to be challenged. 

The Kibble Drop is an interactive puzzle toy that is sure to get the attention of any treat-seeking pup, and keep their brain engaged. And fortunately for us humans, the Kibble Drop is super easy to use.

Simply drop treats - or as in our case, kibble - into the hole in the top of the toy and they will randomly fall into one of the four treat chambers. Then, sit back and watch the fun begin.

 

Your dog(s) must determine which chamber(s) the treat/kibble has fallen into and which flap to lift in order to retrieve their prize.  Scent holes on the chambers assist the nose search.

 

With four chambers and three dogs, this got to be a lot of fun!  I knew Teutul would pick up on it instantly and was pretty confident Penny would as well.  However, I wasn't sure about Sophie.  Not that my hound girl isn't a smarty pants, but she can be very leery about things.

 

Have no fear, Sophie jumped right in and even showed her siblings a thing or two!

In case it isn't obvious from our photos or videos, all three Lapdogs love the Kibble Drop. And, I love the fact that all three of them can play with their food at the same time!  We've already had so much fun playing... and Teutul has only tried to carry the Kibble Drop away twice. I'm waiting for the day either he or Penny picks it up and carries it over, asking me to fill the chambers with some yummies. I know Sophie wouldn't even do that. Instead, she'd just go for the bag of yummies directly.
