Watching the girls behind the desk at the V-E-T |
Since we knocked her prednisone dosage down to 10mg/twice a day, she has shown great improvement! While she still slips a little here and there, and has some trouble climbing up on the couches (the bed is still out of the question for her without assistance), she is acting more like her 'ole self everyday. And, she gained another pound!
Waiting for Dr. C in the exam room |
Sure, a 2 pound weight gain over 4 weeks doesn't sound like a lot, but we'll take it! She just looks so much better! Dr. C wants to keep Lola on the 10mg/twice a day dosage until mid-April, which is when we'll check back in with her. She had decreased her to this dose sooner than she would have liked, but Lola is just one of those dogs who did not do well on high doses. So, the idea is to stay on this dose for a longer period of time before decreasing down again. Her lumps have not returned -- knock on wood -- so all is good at the moment
Zeus tagged along on Tuesday night to have blood drawn for his 3-month liver level check up. We haven't gotten the results back yet, but I'm hopeful we'll have more to be thankful for later today...

Oh yeah!!! That's all great news.
Such good news and we hope there is more to come today. Our paws are crossed. Have a terrific Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
Love good check-ups. Lola looks wonderful.
Blessings,
Goose
Yay Lola! Actually, when you think about how little dogs weigh compared to humans, 1 lb. is significant...
Great report. I really can appreciate a one pound weight gain. There were times I was hoping for half a pound. She looks better and apparently feels better too.
Let me know how Zeus is doing. Morgan isn't due for another test till May and I'm hoping the levels are still going down.
So glad to hear this good news about Lola! Hurray!

Hooray for continued improvement! Lola does look good in those pictures; glad to see her keeping a good eye on the girls at the vet's office, to make sure they're doing everything right!
Glad to hear the good news!
