Just Another Manic Monday...

It's one of those crazy-busy Mondays here at the Lapdog house.  Ever feel like you have 101 things to do and less than 4 days to get it all done?  Welcome to my world... the good and the bad.

Good. It's not raining today!

Bad. We are at the beginning of our third official heat wave of the summer... ugh!

Good. The only time Sophie "smiles" is when she's panting in this nasty heat.  Isn't she cute?

My sweet girl thinks its too hot and she only smiles when she pants. #houndmix #rescue #adoptdontshop #dogstagram

Good.  The humans are getting ready to take their first real vacation in nearly three years!

Bad.  This human is having panic attacks about leaving her babies behind.

Good. I do adore the doggy palace they stay at.

Bad.  The dogs are not amused with all the hustle and bustle going on (read: cleaning, purging clothes, more cleaning, some cursing, cleaning some more and eventually packing) for the past several days in preparation for said vacation.

Good. The dogs' annoyance sometimes provides for great photo opps...

Bad.  Back to the anxiety about having to leave my babies behind while we're so far away from home... look at that sad face above.

Good. My web and design classes are going well...

Bad. I have a class today and tomorrow, when I'd rather be spending time organizing, packing and playing with the dogs... and I, um, better get back to today's.

Wow, I'm getting anxious just reading this. How long will you be gone?

You forgot a good: people are happier when they return from vacation, and that makes for happier pups. Don't stress too much about what to take, as long as you have some clothing and reading material. The rest will fall into place.

That's a wonderful photo of Sophie! Sorry you're having another heat wave! It's actually quite pleasant here at the moment.

I totally understand your feelings about leaving your babies behind. (Vacations are a thing of the past for me.)

I hope you have a fabulous, relaxing vacation in spite of the stress. Sounds like you are leaving the dogs in very good hands.
