Critter Patrol

Happy Thankful Thursday!

The Lapdogs are thankful for having a home with big deck.  Zeus is my biggest lounger (seriously, I think he'd stay out there all day and night if I let him), but they all love hanging out and keeping an eye on all of the critters in the yard.

Can you see the bunny that Zeus is watching?  Look closely... smack dab in the middle of the picture, between the railing rungs.  I was about to snap a second shot where you could see the bunny's head when Hurricane Teutul came running out onto the deck and Mr. Bunny Rabbit hopped a bit further away.

Just walked outside to find Zeus calmly watching a bunny.. As I was about to snap a second shot with Mr Bunny lined up better for you to see, hurricane Tut came running out and scared him. #instadog #dogstagram #bunny #rabbit #critterpatrol #love #seniord

He sure was proud of himself for ruining Mommy's perfect shot...

We've been calling Sophie "The Observer" for years (any Fringe fans out there?).  She'll sit and stare, scanning the back yard for any signs of movement.  Not sure where she gets her patience from (certainly not me), but that's my little huntress.

Lola watches right along with everyone else. She seems to favor our two baby woodchucks, although they seem to already know her reputation. One of them will hang around close to the deck watching Zeus and munching on grass, but as soon as Lola comes outside, off he scatters.

I'm quite thankful for my critter patrol team, however sometimes I really wish the hounds and their dobie sister would take a cue from their chillax brother Zeus and just watch... quietly.  Mama would like to get some nice shots of the bunnies (I counted four in the yard at once earlier this week) and chuckies.

Looks like the perfect way to spend a nice, summer day

I saw the bunny! Winston the visiting cat loves watching out the windows to see what's going on, and there's plenty of wildlife to see. I don't know if he caught the deer the other day, but I know he's seen plenty of bunnies and chipmunks - and birdies, of course. Great pictures of your pack enjoying the sunshine.

Hounds don't chillax, do they? Buddy doesn't. :)

Sounds like a perfect way to spend the day. My crew would be going ballistic for that cute little bunny.

When we lived in PA, there was a mama and twin baby chuckies. I spent hours watching them play.
