Do you want to give her the protein-rich diet that she craves, but not ready to take the leap to a full raw diet yet?

Disclosure: The Lapdogs are Chewy Influencers and received a bag of Merrick Backcountry Freeze-Dried Raw Meals or Mixers, free of charge, in exchange for spreading the word about the product and Chewy. We only share information that we feel is relevant to our readers. All opinions expressed are our own.

With Merrick Backcountry Freeze-Dried Raw Meals or Mixers, you can indulge your dog's cravings without the hassle.

The tasty freeze-dried bites from Merrick's Backcountry grain-free kibble + raw recipes are now available in their pure state in Backcountry Freeze-Dried Raw Meals or Mixers. As the name implies, they can be fed on their own, as a mixer, or even as a treat.
  • To serve as a complete and balanced meal, simply add warm water to rehydrate the freeze-dried bites.
  • To serve as a mixer, add the desired amount of freeze-dried bites to your dog's current kibble (be sure to reduce the amount of kibble accordingly to avoid overfeeding).
  • To reward your best dog ever with a delicious, protein-rich treat, just open the bag and treat.

Merrick's Backcountry Freeze-Dried Raw Meals or Mixers for dogs is currently available in three recipes - Real Chicken, Real Salmon, and Real Beef. Thanks to our friends at Chewy, the Lapdogs got to try the Real Chicken recipe, and since we always add a mix-in at dinner time, using it in that manner was a no-brainer.

They loved the freeze-dried bites of tasty chicken. I loved how safe and easy it was to add a nutritional raw boost to their diets.

I also love the fact that deboned chicken is the first ingredient, followed by chicken liver, dried potatoes, potato protein and chicken broth.

I love this idea for our doggies. I would try the real salmon flavor, I think Jenny the Pug would love it. I am so happy there are many options to spoil our doggies out there.

After our big sickness a few years ago, we can't eat anything raw. Those look delish but we'll have to pass.

I love that the first ingredient is freeze dried boneless chicken. It's important to make sure our pets have high quality food.
