Our friends at Chewy.com did at it again... They sent the Lapdogs another delicious treat that they just can't get enough of!  This month we received Mother's Solutions Hip & Joint treats from Old Mother Hubbard.

We have been fans of Old Mother Hubbard's biscuits since Zeus was a puppy.  After all, they are a local New England company and we love to support the local guys!  We had not tried the Mother's Solutions Soft & Chewy treats in the past, and as a concerned dog Mama, I was very interested in learning more about them.  Finding new Made in the USA treats that are not only healthy for my pack, but affordable too, is always on my to-do list.

The Mother's Solutions Soft & Chewy line currently consists of three varieties: 5 Calorie, Hip & Joint and Skin & Coat.  We received a bag of Hip & Joint to try.

Mother's Solution Hip & Joint soft & chewy treats were developed to help support adult dog's hip and join mobility.  Formulated with a guaranteed 750mg of Glucosamine Hydrochloride and 250mg of Chondroitin Sulfate, these bite size treats are safe to feed multiple times a day.

Made with no wheat, soy, artificial colors or flavors, Hip & Joint chews are natural and good for your dog!  Here's what they do contain: Chicken, Brown Rice, Barley Flour, Cane Molasses, Vegetable Glycerin, Chicken Liver, Gelatin, Apples, Carrots, Salt, Phosphoric Acid, Sorbic Acid (a preservative), Mixed Tocopherols (a natural preservative), Glucosamine Hydrochloride, Chondroitin Sulfate.

With three senior dogs, I am always looking for good hip & joint supplements and treats.  Zeus has been on supplements for several years now, and Lola just started this year.  Whenever I can supplement things with tasty treats for them, I do!  So far, Tut has shown no signs of joint or mobility issues, however it doesn't hurt to use treats as a way to get some of that good stuff into him as well.

All 4 of the Lapdogs - including the "baby" Sophie (although she hits 7 in December and is probably considered a senior dog by many) - tested the Mother's Solution Hip & Joint chews and all 4 loved them.  I love the fact that they are small enough bites that I can use them to reward the dogs, as a bedtime snack, or pretty much anytime.  With Zeus' megaesophagus, it's important to have smaller size treats on hand and these are quite perfect.

character-shippingI will definitely be adding Mother's Solutions Hip & Joint to our regular treat rotation, and we will be trying the Skin & Coat variety very soon!  Order some for your own pack at Chewy.com, where 1-2 day shipping is always free on orders of $49 or more!

Disclosure: Chewy.com sent a bag of Old Mother Hubbard Mother's Solutions Hip & Joint treats to Lapdog Creations, free of charge for review purposes. I was not compensated for this review and all opinions expressed are my own.

Yummy! Unfortunately, their last round of try-mes didn't feature anything our allergy queen could have...

Oh, I love hearing about US made treats! :) I'm also liking the fact that they're joint friendly!

I like that the treats are "bite size" so you can feed them a few a day. Many treat supplements I find are big and have a lot of calories. When your dog only weighs 10 lbs that is definitely something you have to consider.
