One Year Later #CancerBites

Some days it seems like just yesterday, while others it seems like ions ago.

In reality, it was one year ago today that my heart was ripped from my chest and the tears flowed uncontrollably as we said goodbye to the sweetest girl in the world

You would have loved Penny, and she would have been infatuated with you.  She reminds us of you in so many crazy ways, including this way...

My eyes are filled with tears, of both sadness and joy, but I want everyone to smile when they think of you today... just as I did when I dug through all of these old photos. There are so many amazing, adorable, lovable, lol-funny memories. Many of which I had completely forgotten about, including this...

My heart breaks for you...and your loss of beautiful Lola. Cancer does bite. I just lost my boy Gibson in December to it. My heart is broken. My post today is also to my furangel Gibson's memory. Reaching out across the miles to give you a hug...and here's to their beautiful memories and their spirit always being in our lives.

With the cold, snuggling weather lately, I've really been missing Morgan. She knew how to stay warm and cozy on the coldest days. Rob has called Norma Jean "Morgan" a couple times recently so I knew she's on his mind, too. Why do they have such short lives? It's totally unfair.

Such a short time, and so long at the same time. Penny has been a godsend, looking so like Lola, and just as loving, yet with her own distinct personality. The hurt never fully leaves, but the sweet memories help to temper it.

Sweet Lola. Such a beautiful girl. A heart never heals, but can be filled up again. I still miss my baby, Cowboy, looked much like Lola and my heart still aches that he's gone. But we'll see them again someday. ~RascalandRocco

Isn't it the worse thing to go through. I feel it. we had a Great Dane when my girls were younger and it was the worse thing for us to all go through. Bless your heart/
