Speaking of knitting.... I have a FO, although rather small. I whipped up a pair of the oh-so-cute Magic Slippers for our friends' new baby girl.
Aren't these just the cutest little slipper-socks ever? I had made a couple of pairs before, but working up these ones reminded me that I need to make more. With 3 baby girls born to our circle of friends within the past month (and at least 3 more on the way for fall), that won't be hard. This is a great way to use up extra sock yarn, although these ones were made from Patons Beehive Baby Sport to match the Vine Lacy Baby Hat that I had already made.
They make a really cute little set, don't they?
Yesterday was a big mail day... the Toe-Up Two-at-a-Time Socks books arrived for review, as did some SOAK samples and a Nina Ottosson Dog Finder game, which I am very excited to review (hopefully the Lapdogs share my excitement)! I've read about these really cool dog puzzle games before, but this is the first time I've seen one in person. My Loopy Ewe order also arrived. You see, I loved the 3 AM Enchantments Petite KIP bag that I reviewed last week so much that I had to order myself a second one! I also had a wonderful surprise package from Chan.... and lookie here are what happened when I tried to take a photo.
Do you think Lola's longing for a margarita from the Start Your Ovens (Junior League of Bristol) cookbook? Tut appears to be checking out my "Hand Over The Sock Yarn and No One Gets Hurt" shirt, but I think he was really itching to get his nose on those honey flavored treats! I do love the shirt by the way... love. As for the honey treats, all four kids love those... Here's a shot just for you Chan! :) We all thank you very much!

Cute slippers & pups! :)
I really need to give those slippers a try. I'm just worried about how well they stay on. Hrm....
Love the pics of the pups sniffing their treats. :)
Aren't those slippers the best?! Cute with the hat too...
I'm so glad everyone liked their little gifties.
What a ice box of gifts. Chan sends wonderful packages.
I've had my eye on those Nina Ottosson games for quite a while. I'd love to try them with my pack but the price puts me off. I hate to pay those prices to have Bailey eat the thing. I'll watch e-bay for some used ones, I guess.
I love the baby sets. The new parents will, too.
The slippers and hat are sooo cute!
