My Dog, The Great Inventor

It is once again Dogs on Thursday, and perhaps more importantly, one day away from Friday! Its been much too long of a work week, or week for that matter.... a wake (Melissa's Dad), hair appointment (for which I drive an hour each way) and sick-dog-sleepless-night later... I'm very excited that the weekend is almost here! I missed my knitting night last night in order to get my hair done and can use some time with the needles.

So, back to the fact that its DOT. Now, if you're a doggy parent you know about our saving grace kongs. Those wonderful red inventions that can keep our furbabies happy for hours at least a good 10 minutes when we stuff them full of peanut butter (note to self... remember to stuff and freeze them before handing them over to the furry ones... I hear they last much longer that way).... What does one genius crafty creative lazy dog do when she decides she's too much of a princess to hold hers? Lola will glady show you... (as always, click on their names for more new pics!)

We're not quite sure how it happened, but one rubber tire toy plus one peanut butter stuffed kong made for a happy and content girly girl. I wonder if we could patent her invention??? When asked "how'd ya do that?" she just looked up in between licks as if to say "I'm smarter than you think..."

She also says "I'm beautiful... dontcha think?"

Lola looks so proud of herself for making a whole new toy. I think she must be watching her mommy knit such lovely things, and it inspired her to make a crestion of her own!

I'm actually not familiar with Kongs. I looked at the website and I think I've seen something like it, but never anything you could fill up. I'll have to see if Zeus likes those.

What great pictures of the babies. We have had two Kongs and both have "disappeared".

I am going to get my hair done and a facial here in a bit. If I had to drive in for "work" I'm going to get something out of it. Even the Knight has already gone home.

Kongs rock. Peanutbutter is nectar of the dogs in our house too.

That is genius. :) I give my pups kongs too. I just fill them with wet food most the time. I keep thinking lets set it up and freeze it but I forget. :)

Lola looks very proud of herself indeed. I've heard lots of praises for using kong to keep a dog occupied. You should patent her invention!
