Tips for a Fresh Smelling Holiday Kitchen #FreshWave + GIVEAWAY

Everyone knows that the kitchen is the heart of the home. Not only is it the center of your family's day-to-day lives, it's where everyone tends to congregate during the holidays.

This holiday season, make sure that you not only have a well-stocked kitchen, but a fresh smelling one too!

Disclosure: Fresh Wave sent a Kitchen Kit to Lapdog Creations, free of charge, for review purposes. Lapdog Creations only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers, and all opinions expressed are my own. Fresh Wave is responsible for the giveaway prizes. Take a little help from Fresh Wave this holiday season to keep your kitchen smelling fresh. After all, life doesn't have to stink - especially during the holidays!

Keeping your kitchen stink free doesn't have to be harsh either. Fresh Wave eliminates the odor naturally - without nasty chemicals, heavy perfumes, or toxic ingredients.

Fresh Wave products are made with simple, pure and natural ingredients such as water and natural extracts of lime, pine needle, aniseed, clove and cedarwood. Rather than masking odor with perfumes and chemicals, these products make the odor molecules disappear.

I don't know about you, but I would much prefer to send my household odors packing, as opposed to just masking them with another stinky scent. And, if I can do it with all natural, pet friendly products, so much the better!

Like it or not, the holiday season is upon us and those kitchens are going to get hectic and messy during the upcoming weeks. There will be unexpected spills, and as delicious as all of that food is, let's face it - it can stink both during and after cooking!

But have no fear, arm yourself with a few products and you'll be ready to keep the kitchen smelling fresh all season long!
  1. Burn an Odor Removing Candle as you chop and sauté the day away. It'll help keep the smell of onions, garlic and fish at bay.
  2. Use Odor Removing Spray to freshen the air at any time. You can also use it to spray on clothing, pet bedding, shoes, and the garbage can. It's so easy to grab, shake, and spray that you'll be looking for odors to remove!
  3. Stick a refillable Fresh Pod inside your garbage can lid to keep the worst kitchen odors at bay 24/7. So easy to use, just remove the adhesive and stick it on a clean, flat surface. The case opens so you can replace the bead packet (Fresh Wave recommends every 30 days). When you realize how great it works, you'll want to stick it to big odors in small spaces everywhere - closets, the RV, diaper pails, lockers, boats, and more!
I love how easy it was to install my Fresh Pod in our new kitchen trash can.  It literally took about 20 seconds, and I can smell it working on a daily basis. While I love the entire Fresh Wave line, the pod just might be the best. thing. ever.

I love Fresh Wave products and I use them daily. The Fresh Pods are my favorite, I use them in the garbage can and in the vacuum cleaner!

my biggest odor concern, is pee and poo. my 2 younger girls sometimes leave me messes when i am gone for too long. the oldest, i dont blame, she is elderly, has dementia, almost blind, deaf, and has terminal cancer. she will leave a big mess, very smelly. takes me hours to clean up, i even put a tarp down for her.

The litter box, and the garbage cans, are the biggest smell concerns. And of course, wet dog smell in the Oregon wet winters.

Our litterbox in the bathroom is our biggest odor offender!

Probably the kitchen and kitty litter area are the biggest concerns.

My cats litter box is the smelliest thing in my house!

We compost so that's probably the biggest source of smell.

I am nervous I've gone odor blind (like those commercials). Does my house stink?

Our dogs, for sure! I know I don't notice the smell as much as I used to, and I don't want non-dog people to feel uncomfortable in my house.

We don't have odour issues in our house (no stinky dogs here, lol), but a great idea for those who have this problem.

Oh yes... that doggy odor.. it's right up there.. in the top three. The carpet where the dog sleeps is stinky. I want to rip out that carpet and put in hardwood. We gave her a nice dog bed but do you think she always chooses to lay in it? Nope! LOL Oh well. The other odor is my stinky husband. a smoker. Oh my gosh I hate it. He smokes outside but he stinks from it and sits in his recliner, making that stink and the room around him too. It makes me so sad.

Love the idea of putting the fresh pod in the trash can! That's definitely our biggest smelly challenge!

I would love something like that for my shoe box studio, when I cook the entire place smells of food LOL

I always thought that particularly a holiday kitchen naturally smells great with all the cooking and baking.

Odor near the dog's crates. Even though we wash their blankets frequently, I still notice an odor that I'd like to find a way to remove.

Love this! I really appreciate that it is pet friendly and natural!

We always have so much trash during the holidays - as a result of so much food I guess - and things can get a little stinky. Thanks for recommending this product! I could use all the help I can get!

The biggest odor concern I have in my home is..... stinky turtle aquariums. I have 2 turtles that have their own place and even though I clean them each week and have nice Fluval filters, I can still smell the unique Rotten Egg Smell aroma of stinky turtles once in awhile. Fresh Wave, You gotta help me with them. :)

I've been meaning to pull out ours from BlogPaws (obviously I'm WAY BEHIND in those reviews). You have me very excited to grab them, I love all of the scents and that they are all natural. Thank you for the excellent reminder and great review!

Looks like a really good product. How safe is it to use around parrots?, as most sprays are toxic for them

definitely dog odors (and I don't like overwhelming "cover up" smells from candles, etc.

With 3 senior dogs, my biggest concern is urine & poo. I scrub and clean up messes but it's still a concern.

I love the idea of the fresh pod! You're right, the kitchen is the heart of the home and should be inviting (not stinky).

    Beth said...

My two biggest concerns are the kitchen garbage and the litter box. I wonder if the pod would be effective it if was applied to the outside of the litter box. We've used the candle while cooking and I think it works great.

    The dog, of course!

The biggest cause of odors in my home is our 2 litter boxes. Those can really stink sometimes! Fresh Wave is pawsome! We got to try some out and it worked great. I like the packets that you put in the vacuum cleaner and the odor eliminating gels. :)
