Dog parents always have two things with them: treats and poop bags. Even when we've left the dog at home. I'm always reaching in my pockets and finding treats, or searching for something in the bottom of my bag, only to discover a few random poop bags.
Fellow dog parents, it's time for us to get organized!
The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is here, as is the quest to find that perfect gift.
I'm always looking for gifts that give back, and am happy to share with you one of my absolutely favorite companies for pet lovers. Not only do they give back to animal shelters, but they also work with fair trade organizations around the globe to produce the items they offer.
As we approach the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, please think about making some of your purchases with companies that give back. When you do, it's a win for everyone - you make your recipients happy, as well as someone in need.
This goes for both the humans and canines, of course, and is why I couldn't wait to tell you about this month's Pooch Perks box!
The ASPCA documentary, Second Chance Dogs is now available on Netflix!
Second Chance Dogs takes viewers behind-the-scenes at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center and follows the stories of six extremely fearful dogs who were rescued from a life of cruelty and given a second chance for a happy, loving life.
It's a common question - what type of dog do you have? Or, more often than not, when it comes to the Lapdogs, it's "she looks like she's got some :::fill in the blank::: in her, but what else is she mixed with?"
With mixed breed rescue dogs, it's usually a best guess scenario depending on what they looks like. Pull up Petfinder and you'll be overwhelmed with "lab mixes," yet half of those dogs probably have zero Labrador in them.
