Dogs on Thursday
Happy last Dogs on Thursday of 2010! Is your pack howling for 2011 to arrive? All four Lapdogs are currently snoozing on various couches and beds...
Some various shots for the final DOT of 2010....
Zeus, hanging out and showing off some of his favorite t-r-e-a-t-s, from Canine Cafe in Charlotte (I brought these ones home from our trip back in October, however Grandpa Dan & Grandma Sue just sent them a big bag for Christmas)...
Lola, maxin' and relaxin'...
Teutul, doing his best "Who me?" and vegging out...
Sophie... being the Princess that she is!

10 Intentions for the New Year
It's Ten on Tuesday time! Today's topic is 10 Intentions for the New Year...
2. Read more... having my Nook should help me accomplish this. I love that thing!
3. Cook more... whether it's old favorites or new recipes.
4. Start Christmas 2011 knitting in January... this goes along with #1. I only managed to gift one handknit item this year.
5. Get the house organized... this means finally tossing things we don't use/need and moving into the master bedroom.
7. Live in the moment... stop obsessing on the past and the future. "Wag More, Bark Less"
8. Spend more time with my great nieces and family in general. They grow so fast!
9. Do what makes me happy... whatever that may be at any given moment.
10. Exercise and loose weight... this one makes everyone's list each year, right?

Lola stars in "Christmas is..."
Well, maybe she didn't star in it, but she is the first dog shown... at about 1:58 in on the video. You see, I received an email from Kim at Mommycosm last week asking if she could use a photo of Lola for her upcoming "Christmas Is...." video. We said yes and think she did a great job with this cute video...

Wordless Wednesday Doggy Update
Happy Wordless Wednesday/foster doggy update day. Jack's back...
"Home for The Holidays" |
Each time we receive updated photos, Matt thinks Jack resembles Teutul more and more. The most recent are these with his Obedience 1 ribbon and certificate... a class of which I'm sure Mr. Tut would fail...

10 Last Minute Gift Ideas
Hey look, two weeks in a row... Ten on Tuesday! This week's topic: 10 Last Minute Gift Ideas.
1. Make something yummy... bake cookies or bread... make chocolate covered pretzels... bag your own chex mix. Nothing says love like homemade goodies and when those goodies are food, well...
2. Barnes & Noble gift card... Even if your recipient isn't a bookworm, they have magazines, games, calendars and so much more. With many Nook owners on my list (myself included), this is now an easy go-to gift when needed.
5. Wine... it's easy to dress up a bottle of wine and turn it into a festive gift. Bottle cozy... knit scarf... reuseable wine tote...
6. Coffee... another staple that is easy to make into a festive gift... in a basket with a travel mug (bonus points if you made a handknit mug cozy!)... with some cookies or scones... in an airtight coffee canister... with a fancy coffee scoop... with a gift card to Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks attached...
9. Magazine Subscription... entertainment, news or hobby related... there's something for everyone!
10. Make a Charitable Donation in honor of a loved one. I posted a list of a few of my favorite places yesterday. I accidentally left Victory Junction Gang Camp off that list... another fabulous place!

3. A plant or fresh cut flowers... most people don't buy these for themselves, so treat your friends to a splash of color.
4. Edible Arrangements... if flowers and leaves aren't your thing, perhaps chocolate dipped strawberries, melon and pineapple centerpieces are. Yummy.....

7. Learn to Knit Kit... if you're a knitter, I'm sure you always hear non-knitting friends say how much they'd love to learn sometime... now is your chance to give them a push! Fill a tote bag with some needles, yarn, a few notions... (warning: know that they may or may not use it. I gave a birthday gift of this sort 2 years ago... still waiting for said friend to really want to learn)

Some Favorite Charities

Best Friends Animal Society, currently whatever amount you donate will be matched, dollar for dollar!
Tiger World, a wonderful sanctuary who strives to provide education, conservation, preservation, protection and safety.
ASPCA, for just $20 you can feed an abandoned dog or cat for 3 weeks!
Stand up To Cancer, 100% of your donation goes to saving lives!

Sophie's birthday toy is a bottle doggy (stuffed with a plastic water bottle) and she luvs him... Lola does too... we might need to get another one soon...
Time to cut the cake! It's a great size which cuts into four perfect Lapdog size portions... Tut thinks Daddy could certainly cut it a little faster.
Let's eat...

Wasn't me! You can't prove anything... wait, what? |
