Snow Dogs
This was supposed to be a dog treat review and giveaway, posted for Tasty Tuesday. However, as you know from yesterday's post, I've been sick all weekend. Which means, not only did I not get our photo shoot complete, but also my brain is too fuzzy to write up a meaningful review. (I hope you appreciate that)
Instead, I've got more snow-day-fun pictures (after all, we have an overabundance of those this winter).
Minus the shadow, I really love this shot of Zeus looking quite majestic against the snowy back drop.
A little blurry, but this one of Lola was snapped mid-storm last week. Truly a "winter wonderland" as she is surrounded by snow.
Another one of Teutul checking out something... probably a bird. I like that the Flickr effect made it look a little old fashioned.
My big boy again...

I'm not sure what Teutul was fixated on in this snot.

For some reason, I don't have another shot of my snow bunny to share right now (if only I had time to download the actual camera photos). Instead, how about a shot of big-eyed Sophie grabbing her Valentine teddy bear cookie? After all, it is Tasty Tuesday...

Monday Mischief: The Plague Has Hit
Happy Monday. There hasn't been much mischief going on here. Even the weekend was blah. The temps were unseasonably warm, and I hear the days were wonderful. However, I don't know anything about it, since I've been stuck in the house sick.
I guess it was inevitable. Matt started with the stuffiness, sore throat and cough the middle of last week. As much as I tried to avoidhim his plague, I failed. And, I hate being sick.... hate, hate, hate it.
I'm sure the Lapdogs would have liked to get outside and play, but they settled for keeping their Mommy & Daddy company inside.
My breakfast on Saturday consisted of OJ, coffee and an orange whoopee pie. Don't judge... I'm sick (and hey, orange = Vitamin C, right?)
I tried to get some knitting done in between naps, but wasn't very productive. I had great intentions of finishing my Mom's fingerless mitts. This is as far as I got on the second one.
I did discover I have a new favorite tea! A friend had sent a little tin of Tazo Vanilla Rooibos for Christmas, but I had not yet tried it. I made a cup yesterday and it is mmmm, mmmm good!
Lola was okay with snuggling up with me while I drank my tea, but she made it clear she was not going to share her little blue piggy. Maybe she was just trying to make sure piggy didn't catch the plague.
I'm hoping I start to feel a little more human tomorrow... there's plenty of mischief I need to get into this week.

Wicked Winter Wonderland - Part 2
Happy Thursday... aka Dogs on Thursday (man I miss that 'ole blog hop) and Little Friday. I feel like a broken record telling you all about the snow we got, but it's been non-stop. What was supposed to be just "a dusting" turning to rain yesterday ended up resulting in another good 3 or 4 inches of snow. It came down fast and furious during the afternoon. I looked out my office window and saw complete white out conditions at one point.
But... it does make for pretty pictures, right? I feel like I should have started a "Wicked Winter Wonderland" post series.
My little snow Princess sure is loving it. She'd romp out there all day today if she could.
Here's oursnow tunnel pathway around the back of the house. Can you spot the picnic table in the picture on the right?
Zeus and Tut seem to think their Daddy built them a snow fort...
Enjoy your day... and if you're buried like we are, I at least hope the skies where you are blue today!

Lola was the designated look out for the snow fort last night. Not sure why the pic came out so yellow, but I snapped pretty blue skies shot on the right this morning.

Wicked Winter Wonderland
Please excuse the lack of blogging this week, but we've been busy watching the Olympics, snuggling and getting hit with snow on what seems like a daily basis. And, yes I've been doing a little knitting. At least the wicked white stuff makes pretty Wordless Wednesday pics...

{This Moment} See Beautiful: LOVE
Happy Friday, Happy Valentine's Day and Happy See Beautiful blog hop day! This month's topic is certainly on point for today... LOVE.
You all know that I have four very lovable babies in my life. It's hard for me to admit that they are all considered seniors now.
Zeus, my handsome big guy is a master doggy kisser - not too sloppy like most pooches. He's going to be 13 next month and has provided nothing but unconditional love all these years. It's so hard for me to watch him slow down.
Lola, my sweet baby girl. Despite her ongoing battle with an auto immune disease, she remains nothing but upbeat and lovable. She loves nothing more than giving kisses and snuggles (even to the V-E-T) and sticking her nose in Grampy's pockets looking for cookies (my girl has no shame)!
Teutul, my sometimes annoying, but always hilarious Tennessee boy. He's one of those sloppy kisser pooches. His method is to sneak attack you when you least expect it (i.e. when your mouth is wide open). Tut's favorite thing in the whole world (next to food) is cuddling on the couch with his humans.
Sophie,my her Daddy's shy little Princess. He thinks she can do no wrong, even when she's obnoxiously barking for dinner or whacking us when we're not paying enough attention to her. She's the only Lapdog who doesn't give kisses... Miss Sophie is a master sniffer however (especially at the crack of dawn when she gets up on the bed to wake us up by sticking her nose THIScloseTOourFACES).
They are the loves of my life, along with their Daddy, of course. I'm truly a lucky girl, having five wonderful Valentine's in my life!

Snow Day
Well, like most of the East Coast, we're in the middle of yet another snow storm!
It started early this morning.
When I went out to grab the mail, this happened...
Lola and Tut had a good romp...
Zeus and Sophie were like doggyVelcro SnowCro...
And at almost 13 years old, my big guy still loves catching snowballs... or in this case, snow scraps since I didn't have my gloves.
Besides our quick romps, we've been hunkered down inside. It's a great day for watching the Olympics (hockey and curling!), sipping hot tea and catching up on big piles of laundry. We're also working on a few reviews, so stay tuned...
Here's a current shot of where we're at in this storm. Last check, they were still predicting anywhere from 6 - 12" for us. Stay warm!
