Brrrr... Chilly Mischief

Well, it's Monday... and it's cold and wet outside.  No white stuff for us today (although they're getting it just an hour or so North of us), just heavy rain.  The Lapdogs were not at all amused when Mommy kicked them outside to do their business this morning.

Yesterday, on the other hand, was cold, but somewhat sunny.  I took the opportunity to get the dogs out on the deck for some photos.  First on my agenda was to get our Christmas card photo.  I was absolutely thrilled with one pose they got in for all of thirty seconds... and got what would have been the perfect shot, except for a little Princess doing her best "wishing for a treat" closed-eyes.  hmprf . I haven't decided if I'll still use it or not (she is pretty cute when she does that).  If it's not the main photo, I'll have to incorporate it in somehow.

After the Christmas card shoot, the Lapdogs were then treated (literally) to a review photo shoot.  Stay tuned, we've got lots of great treats and toys to tell you about (with a few giveaways too!).

Now, that's when the real mischief began.  While the rest of us ran inside to warm up, Zeus decided it was time for some good 'ole porch lounging.  Mind you, it was 37 degrees... but my happy old man didn't seem to mind at all.

After a few minutes, I sternly told him that if he was going to stay outside, he was going to wear his jacket.  Although he huffed and puffed at my fuss, he obliged.  For those of you wondering about the "donut head," that is his custom Neck Hug from Wag Tail Farms.  It helps with his mega-esophagus - mostly overnight, but also when things act up during the day... like when his Mama gives him too many treats during a review photo shoot.

He laid out back listening to the birds chirp and watching the world go by (his absolute favorite pastime during the warmer months) for another half an hour or so before I insisted it was time to come in.  He didn't understand what the problem was....

37 degrees and he insists on being outside, so Mama made him put on his jacket. #dogstagram #instadog #seniordog #ilovemyseniordog #ilovebigmutts He's got his #WagTailFarms #neckhug on for a bit as well because of his #megaesophagus

He looks pretty content. That would be Torrey, happy in the cold.

He looks too cute! We regularly hit temperatures below 0 here in Montana and I have to force the fluffies back inside. Just this weekend it was 1 degree out and Mauja went out back to take a nap on a snow pile. They look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them they have to come inside to defrost ;)

Well, with that nice mat for lounging, plus a nice warm coat and scarf...er, neck ring...of course he was warm enough! Sunshine and wildlife...just what the dude ordered.

Looks like someone really loved spending time outdoors lounging in the chilly weather. Beautiful dog.

Sweet, good boy... I'm sure whatever photos you use for the card will be awesome. I haven't prepped for ours yet either.

Hey Zeus,

You're tough, not sure I could handle that level of cold! Glad you're having fun!

Your pal Snoopy :)

It was 7 degrees here this morning and my pack ran outside, found sticks and settled on the frozen ground to chew. Dogs must be crazy!
