Recovering and Waiting

Monday already?  It sure seems like we say that far too often, don't we?

Teutul is recovering well.  After Dr. C cleaned his teeth, she did an x-ray and decided he did not need to have the tooth in question extracted. Yay!  Now, we await the results of the biopsies on the two lumps that were removed.  Waiting, waiting, waiting... but I'm trying not to think too much about it.

The patient is home resting, currently free of the cone of shame. My boy is NOT the sharpest tool in the shed... He kept crashing into the wall at the vet, thinking it was the door. #dogstagram #instadog #coonhoundmix #ilovemydogs #rescuedog #muttsofinsta

I ordered a collapsible dog bed that we can use at the race track, family cook outs, etc, and it arrived on Friday.  I took it out of the box to see how it looked, and within 30 seconds, this happened...

Yup, that's my boy who had just had surgery the day before.  Yesterday he attempted to get us to play fetch, but we had to politely decline... he's supposed to be resting.  I suspect within another day or two, rest and low activity is going to be even harder to enforce.  Fortunately, his incisions are healing well and we've had no issues with his sutures.

As I'm typing this post, I realize I haven't snapped any pics of Tut wearing the cone of shame.  I'll have to do that later today.  He wore it the first two nights to sleep, as well as a couple times while I was home and he was showing interest in his sutures.  Now, he's only wearing it when we're not home.  And yes, that means he was non too pleased with me when I left for work this morning.  He's not very coordinated with it on, but is getting better.  When I picked him up after surgery, he kept crashing into everything and every one... I'm sure the drugs had something to do with that.

Norma Jean thinks the cone is a tool used to herd people and other dogs. She delights in slamming into legs.
