Go Fast, Turn Left!

Happy Monday.... or rather, Dear Monday, why do you always come so fast every week?  We had another long drive to the race track on Saturday, as the NELCAR series was up in Unity, Maine.  The 3.5 hour trip each way, plus all day at the track, sure does wipe a girl out...  

I haven't exactly been doing a good job of sharing race day photos over here, so if you're looking to stay up to date, add Hooligan Racing to your favorites and/or reader.  Matt's been having a blast in the Legend car this year and racing sure is keeping us busy.

Some people have tire swings.... I have a tire seat!  I was updating the facebook page on race morning, of course.  I might have tweeted about NHMS's fancy new scoreboard too...

I know I just recently said that it's not often the boxes of treats arriving at Lapdog Creations are for the humans to munch and review, however we just had the pleasure of indulging in another box.  This time it was from J. Drizzle Gourmet Popcorn Company.

Company was founded by Joe and Alison Choquette after they had tried many different varieties of gourmet popcorn and had a difficult time believing what they were eating was "as good as it gets." After a year's worth of planning and recipe perfecting, Joe and Alison launched J. Drizzle Gourmet Popcorn Company in October of 2010. The mission of this Chester, NH based business is simple - to provide the very best gourmet popcorn available, using the highest quality ingredients.

Drizzle Gourmet Popcorn Company offers several varities and flavors, including dry seasoned, caramel combinations, kettle flavors, sweet flavors and their special signature flavors.  We received samples of the honey mustard, salt 'n vinegar, pina colada, dark chocolate cherry, chocolate drizzled caramel, watermelon candied corn and kettle corn.  Let me just say straight out - all are amazing!  My personal favorites include.. the watermelon candied corn, which is kettle corn infused with refreshing watermlon flavor.  I could munch this all summer long!  The dark chocolate cherry is simply decadent and yes, it tastes as sinful as it sounds!  I'll admit that the honey mustard was a little odd at first - just one bite and you can really taste it!  All were unique and tasty

My readers know that the only thing I love to support more than products Made in the USA is small business products Made in the USA. However, when it's something made right here in the Granite State, I love it even more that I get to show my support and help spread the word! Of course, when it's a delicious product, that makes my job all the easier and clearly I'm not the only person who thinks J. Drizzle Gourmet Popcorn rocks. They just received an Editor's Pick in the Best of NH 2011 awards from New Hampshire Magazine! J. Thankful

Happy Dogs on Thursday!  Since it's also thankful Thursday, let me just say that I am thankful for the best 4-legged kids ever!  Look at the pretty flowers they got me for Mama's Day...

Yes, I'm a little late posting these pictures and yes, that's Lola's nose in the corner of the first picture.... and yes, I am so thankful to have all four of my furbabies in my life.

I am also thankful that the tornadoes that ripped thru New England yesterday did not reach us. They were not all that far away and left behind chaos, destruction and death.  New England is accustomed to nor'easters and several feet of snow, but not tornadoes.  Does anyone know who ticked off Miss Mother Nature?  She sure has been quite the unhappy little camper in 2011... What are you thankful for today?

Happy Wordless Wednesday!  Our first batch of robins under the deck this spring...

They hatched on May 9th and this was the first batch that Mama was over protective of.  She literally chased me around the yard the day I took these photos.

 

Checking on them on May 11th.  Mama came back with dinner while I was snapping photos and was none too pleased with me...

By May 16th they were getting pretty big for the nest...

May 18th...

I think they flew the coop the next day.
