Ten on Tuesday:

I'm a little late to the party, but it is still Tuesday, so... Today's Ten on Tuesday topic is 10 Things I Always Bring on Vacation.

1. Way too many Clothes. It's better to be prepared than to wish you had something, right?

Socks3AM_41310b2. A Camera... or 2.  I always have my little point-and-shoot with me, and depending where we're going, sometimes the Nikon DSLR.

3. Knitting.  Depending where and for how long, I tend to have 1 or 2 projects with me.  Simple socks make great vacation knitting.

4. My Nook.  It used to be a book, now it's Mr. Nook.

5. Magazines.  Because sometimes you want fluffy reading... especially when you're tired.

4dogs_101312f6. Pictures of the Lapdogs.  I never leave home without 'em!

7. Addresses & Stamps.  Yes, I still send postcards to family & friends.

8. Cell phone & charger.  Can. Not. Be. Without. Them.

Look what just arrived for #review I'm in #love already! #knit #knitting #bag #knittingbag #dellaq #dogs #knitstagram #dogstagram #craftsupplies9. Bags.  I tend to travel with a few extra bags, depending where we're going.  That way I have something small and easy to carry, as well as something that can be used as a tote for day trips.

10. Beauty & Hair Products.  I don't like to be without my favorites, so it's usually better to pack them than hope to find them once you get there.

Monday Mischief

Monday again, already?  ugh... At least we had a lazy Sunday at home yesterday, although I certainly could have used another day.

This was the mischief going on during the human's dinner time last night.

As you can see, our house is rather relaxed.  We eat in the living room, while watching TV.  I got up to get a drink refill and came back to Lola creepin' on the ribs & potato, with a side of Sophie photo bomb.

Earlier in the day, the humans created some mischief with that noisy machine we sometimes push around the floor.  My boys were not thrilled, but I think it provided for a rather cute photo.  I just love Zeus' look...

My boys watching the vacuum... Zeus' look is priceless! #dogstagram #love #dogs #adoptdontshop

Black & White Sunday: Bones & Balls

It's one heck of a lazy Sunday here!  The humans were gone for a very, very long time yesterday for the first race of the season, which was cold and windy as all heck!  The Lapdogs did get some special treats when we got home however...

I'm not sure who is more excited to have Casey Jones Bones as part of our sponsor family this year - me or Zeus!  But, shhh... don't tell my kids about all the Pumpkin treats we handed out at the race yesterday.  It's safe to say we are the most popular stop in the pits for our 4-legged friends!

REVIEW: Planet Dog Cosmos Collection

Planet Dog Cosmos Collection

Where to Find: Planet Dog

Untitled
The Sky's The Limit with Planet Dog's Cosmos Collection!

Planet Dog has a new line of Orbee-Tuff toys that is out of this world!  Featuring three balls of different shapes, sizes and colors, the Cosmos collection has something for every dog in the Universe!

Lola taking a bite out of the cosmos! #PlanetDog #dogtoys #review #dogstagramLarger dogs will shine bright in the sun while playing fetch with the 5" translucent orange Sol, the largest ball in the Cosmos collection.

Medium and smaller sized pooches will jump over the moon for the 4” glow-in-the dark Luna, which arrives just in time for an impromptu game on fetch on a warm summer evening.

Inspired by Saturn's rings, the 3" emerald green Ringo is suitable for dogs of all sizes.  Ringo's rings will keep your dog occupied for endless hours of fun as he chases the unpredictably bouncing green ball!

Check out our #PlanetDog #review tomorrow #dogtoys #dogstagram #dogs #balls #Orbee
While the Cosmos collection is a gift from the stars for you and your dog, they are made right here on Earth... in the USA!  As is the case with all of Planet Dog's Orbee collection, these balls are doggie-durable, buoyant, bouncy, minty, recyclable, non-toxic and 100% guaranteed!  Ringo is rated 5 out of 5 chompers on the Chew-o-Meter Scale, suiting even the most aggressive chewers.  Due to their size and shape, Sol and Luna are rated 4 out of 5 chompers.  However, these two balls are still suitable for "fairly aggressive" chewers.

UntitledIn addition to the endless fun you and your dog can have playing fetch with Cosmos, they also feature a treat spot which is perfect for stuffing with his or her favorite snack.

The Lapdogs and their humans are huge Planet Dog fans and we're sure you will be too!  In addition to making durable, fun toys in the USA, Planet Dog gives back - 2% of every purchase made is donated to the Planet Dog Foundation (PDF), a non-profit grantmaking organization which supports canine service programs across the country. So far, PDF has given away almost $900,000 in cash grants and in-kind product donations to help dogs help people in need!  Join us in supporting a responsibly company and pick up one of the Cosmos for summer playtime today!

Disclosure: Planet Dog sent three Cosmos toys to Lapdog Creations, free of charge for review purposes. I was not compensated for this review and all opinions expressed are my own.

It's Puzzling

Did you know that April is National Autism Awareness Month?

Did you know that today, April 2nd, is World Autism Awareness Day?

Did you know that my niece, Tabitha, is autistic?

Autism_Awareness_RibbonPerhaps you have your own family member or friend who is also affected by this puzzling disorder?  And if you do, I would bet they are as wonderful as Tabitha!

Tabitha2Please join me in support of those with autism by showing off the Autism Awareness Puzzle Ribbon!  Whether you show support with a pin on your jacket, a magnet on your car, a comfy t-shirt or a blog badge, please help to educate folks on the potential of people with autism.

My brother and his wife will be taking part in the 2013 Walk Now for Autism Speaks in Boston this October.  If you are in a situation which allows you to do so, would you please consider donating to their walk through this link?

Monday Mischief: Can You Hear Me Now?

Happy April... but where did March go so fast?  And is it really Monday already?  At least we had a beautiful weekend here in New England... despite some financial headaches the humans have going on with not one, but two vehicles.  As the 'ole saying goes, "when it rains, it pours," right?  Hopefully April showers really do bring May flowers...

My Easter Mutts sure know how to make me smile and they were all ears yesterday...
