Lucky 13 and 0!

So Coach Belichick said our guys were a little tired last Monday night... apparently, they woke up in a big, big way for yesterday's game! We are now 13 and 0!!!!!

With all the stress & hecticness going on, I forgot stupidly neglected to make yesterday's Dogs on Thursday post all about the sweet little birthday girl! Yes, that's right Sophie is still with us and the cutie just turned 1 year old! We are celebrating with her cake tonight.... and of course, I went out to pick her up a special birthday toy at Woof It Down today. She's just as spoiled as our own kids, for which she might as well be #4 at this point and really seems to be heading that way.... despite the fact that the humans in the house may be feasting on Ramen noodles and pb&j for the next five years.

Lazy Doggy Thursday

Can you believe another Dogs on Thursday has snuck up on us? Just where is all this time going?!?! Are days weeks are flying by, or is it just me??!! It seems like Halloween was only yesterday.... I'm normally just about done with my Christmas shopping by now, but this year I feel so unorganized and disconnected. I'm not even sure I'm going to put our tree up this year... partly because I just don't have the time, partly because it doesn't feel like holiday season and partly, well just because I'm so disconnected with this whole weekend of hell lingering on (thank you to those of you "in the know" for your kind thoughts & advice - I appologize to anyone else, who just gets to read my bitching & moaning here).

So, in light of my have-way-too-much-to-do and not-enough-time-in-the-month stressed out lifestyle lately, I give to you some very lazy doggy pictures... as I've noticed I've managed to snap quite a few in the past week (read: beware, picture heavy post)!

Overdue Thank You!

Please bare with me while I once again play blogging catch up! I owe a huge overdue THANK YOU to my wonderful spoiler from Secret Pal 11... the one and only Dianne! Dianne has been an incredible spoiler and its so funny because we read each other's blogs way before SP11 even started! Its really awesome to get someone you already "know" in a swap and even more fun to a get a spoiler that knows you too!

My wickedly cool reveal package arrived last week... and looksie here at all the wonderful goodies Dianne sent. Everything was wrapped up in pretty pink tissue...

It didn't take very long for me to tear in to it all...

I got some awesome stuff! There is a beautiful skein of Shelly Dyes Sock Yarn (love, love, love the colorway!), some "N" post-it notes, a gorgeous hand blown glass Christmas ball that I absolutely adore (Dianne explained it is made by local glass artisans near her, where, get this, she's a curatorial assistant at the Museum of American Glass! What a cool job!!!), a Willow Tree trinket box (a friend started me on a collection of the Angels, this is my first box and it is the girl w/ doggy "Friendship" box - very cool & so appropriate!), The Yarn Harlot's latest book "Casts Off" which Dianne got signed for me when she was in NJ last month (totally awesome because I have her other 3 books signed but was unable to attend Stephanie's signing in Mass earlier this year to get the new one... Dianne, you're the best!) and last, but certainly not least, some gourmet Patriots dog cookies for my kids & Sophie (who's still here... we're not quite counting her as "Doggy #4" yet, but........)! I'm not sure where in NJ she managed to find Patriots cookiees.... ha ha!

If you're a regular, you know I can't ever take swap package pics without curious on lookers.... this one is Lola & Teutul.

I don't have any good pics of them with their cookies because they scoofed them down so fast, except for Miss Sophie...

Thank you Dianne... everything is absolutely wonderful! You have truly spoiled me (and my babies!) rotten!!!!!!!

A few grey hairs... but we're 12 and 0!

Seriously now... what the hell was up with that dropped pass in the end zone boys??!! Nothing like adding to the grey hairs I already have to cover every 8 weeks... but we are 12 and 0!

I told you before, our boy even runs...









Some of you know my personal traumatic hell of a weekend that did more than add grey hairs to my head and I thank you for all your kind words and thoughts. I'll keep you updated in email ... my baby does not deserve this, nor do I and I can only say I hope karma bites the jerk in the ass... literally!

Injured Kitten Retrieved from Road and Dashboard to Undergo Donated Surgery

Dasher, an eight-week-old stray domestic long-haired kitten, rescued twice Tuesday is being scheduled for surgery to save his leg at the Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston.

Dasher was originally found by a Good Samaritan in the middle of the road in Taunton after being struck by a car. The quick thinking individual scooped him up and brought him to the warmth of her car only to have him seek refuge in the dashboard. After fruitless attempts to retrieve Dasher, the car was brought to Silko Honda in Raynham which donated over five hours of labor from three technicians to rescue Dasher for the second time in one day.

Dasher is now being scheduled for surgery at Angell in an attempt to save his leg through the insertion of metal pins to stabilize his injuries. To donate to aid in the treatment of stray animals through the Angell Special Fund please click here.

Its been a superCRAZYbusyNONSTOPnotimeTObreath kind of week... so forgive the lack of new photos or knitting content. I finished my knitting & doggy cookie baking for the Holiday Open House at A Knitter's Garden this weekend and delivered all of my packaged & priced product to Joanne last night - big weight off my shoulders and now maybe my darned eye will stop twitching (I noticed an annoying eye twitch the past week and when I googled it, of course the big culprit that came up? STRESS!). Tonight I have a work event that I'm still stressing over and preparing for... oh the joys! I've also now realized that I do not have a Saturday (and barely any Sundays) free until after the holidays... ay, yi, yi!
