2. Blue Jay and Cardinal... their colors are absolutely stunning and I've admired both beauties since I was a kid
5. Parrot... they had me at "hello" and this guy, who resides at Tiger World, sure does love asking for crackers
6. Whooping Crane... the tallest bird in North America, it has such a prehistoric look
7. Seagull... sure they're sometimes referred to as "flying rats," but I'm a Gloucester girl and like the whooping crane, I adore the locals
8. The American Bald Eagle... need I say anymore?
9. Red-Winged Black Bird... at least I think that's what these are. We have many of them who frequent our feeders.
Boy I really didn't think I was a bird lover until I started going through some of my photos and realizing just how many gorgeous beauties I've snapped...

Neat! Quite a different list than I might have composed, but I'm sure it would never have entered my mind to do so...
i have always adored birds, the indoor kind and the outdoor kind, the only time I don't love them is at dawn when I still want to sleep
Great list! I love all birds (Except Grackles. Hate Grackles. . .)
My barn cat, Friend, hasn't been too friendly to the Robins. He has killed two and yesterday I found a broken blue egg. I guess he feels Robins are a threat to Alpacas. How do I explain to the silly little cat that Robins are beautiful birds? Argh!
Love your list.
Birds are neat creatures. They look so delicate but are really tough. That's a good list.
Cardinals are my favorites, followed by bluebirds and jays. Of course, the American Eagle leads them all...
Love the owl. Did you take that photo? I have never seen one like that in real life.
