It just occured to me that tomorrow is Dress in Blue Day and rather than wait until then to post (you know, once everyone is dressed and off to work/school/playtime/your local yarn shop/the dog park/la-la land), I thought I'd spread the word today. You're welcome.... ;-)
My Mom, a True Survivor |
Did you just ask why? Well...
• Colon cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S.
• Approximately 150,000 Americans will be diagnosed with colon cancer each year.
• Colon cancer often has no symptoms at all until it's at an advanced stage.
• Colon cancer is 80% preventable when detected early.
• You can reduce your risk through regular screenings.
• Beginning at age 50 (or earlier if you have a family history), everyone should get their colon checked.

You know I'll be wearing blue for my aunt and grandmother. They weren't survivors... :(
Blue is my all time favorite color anyway so it's an easy day for me. Have a great weekend
Thanks for the heads up!
I will be wearing blue today for sure:)
I saw your post about this last night before I left work, so why did I neglect to wear blue today? It's a great idea for a very important cause... so sorry I forgot!
Thanks for the heads up. : )
I wore blue too! They actually thought I had colon cancer three years ago...thank God it wasn't!
