Planet Dog has expanded their eco-friendly Hemp Collar and Leash collection with the newly added Lil' Hemp sizes, designed for dogs up to 20 pounds.  After receiving several requests from dog lovers with small canine companions, Planet Dog decided to offer tiny-tyke size collars made from one of nature's most abundant and strongest fibers.

The Lil' Hemp collar features a nylon-reinforced plastic quick release buckle and durable fabric.  These hemp collars are great for active dogs, as they stand up to everything from rigorous salt-water swims to mud puddle baths to frosty snow romps to rolls in the sand.  Doggy Moms will be pleased to note they are machine washable too!

According to company founder Alex Fisher, "The collection was inspired by everyone's favorite pair of jeans - it's what you would choose to wear if you were a dog."

PD_Rosie_review_711cThe Lil' Hemp Flat Adjustable Collar fits 9 - 13" necks and is .5" wide.  Like all of the Planet Dog hemp collection, these little collars get softer with age, while still remaining strong.  They are available in five fun colors: apple green, orange, purple, blue and pink.  Unlike the larger size hemp collars, the Lil' Hemp collars is made without the fleece lining, to reduce bulk on tiny necks.

The Lil Hemp collection includes matching 5' leashes and like their larger size counterparts, the handles are fleece lined for the human walker's comfort.

All of Planet Dog's products are 100% guaranteed and socially responsible, as they continue to donate 2% of every purchase to the Planet Dog Foundation (PDF), their non-profit, to support canine service programs across the country. Since January of 2006, PDF has given away over $775,000 in cash and in-kind product donations to help more dogs help more people in need.

Would have been good when mine were little. The Lupines seem to stand up to swimming really well.
