Thirsty Milo Portable Dog Water Bowl

Where to Find: Thirsty Milo

We were very excited to be given the opportunity to review the Thirsty Milo Portable Dog Water Bowl... and even more excited when it showed up in this beautiful pink/purple color combination (well, the girls were... not sure the boys noticed)!

ThirstyMilo_Sophie_12713bEvery dog family has their preference for on-the-go watering, right?  What's your current go-to?  Perhaps you just grab a water bottle and call it a done deal?  Maybe you bring along a foldable travel bowl or add a tray contraption to the bottle?  During racing season, I was filling up stainless steel water bottles and bringing along a regular plastic bowl.

Enter what just might be the best portable dog water bowl ever: Thristy Milo, created in the UK out of necessity.  After searching for a portable water bowl that not only met his lifestyle needs as a dog owner, but was also fun, funky, functional, truly portable and easy to use, Milo's owner came up empty handed.... so, he created one!  The name came from constantly asking his Spanish Water Dog, "Are you thirsty Milo?"  The design was truly meant everyone and for all on-the-go situations. It had to be simple to use - simply screw off the cap, fill and screw the cap back on.  And, it had to hold enough water - Thirsty Milo holds 1.5 liters (about 50 ounces).  Finally, it had to be truly portable - with it's comfortable, built in carrying handle, you're ready to go in seconds!

ThirstyMilo_Zeus_12713Now you're probably thinking, "Sure, great concept... but I bet it leaks!" I've put Thirsty Milo through as many tests as possible trying to make it leak... with no success!  The screw-on lid has a gasket that truly seals it shut and keeps it leak free!

Thirsty Milo is perfect for any occasion where you need to have water handy for your pup!  Take it on hikes, day trips, to the dog park, to the race track (you know we will!), to the beach, or anywhere your dog goes.  Thirsty Milo is stable when in use (it won't collapse like other portable bowls), floats, and has a 120 mm (over 4.5 inches) opening to drink from, making it great for any size dog.  Additionally, it's top shelf dishwasher safe and UV fade resistant -- not to mention stylish!  Currently Thirsty Milo is available in two color combinations, Princess Pink (the pink/purple combo we received for review) and Sunburst Orange (an orange bowl with blue lid).

ThirstyMilo_Lola_12713Thirsty Milo has received the Lapdogs Official 16 Paws Up Seal of Approval (plus the humans 4 hands as well)!  We think every doggy household should have a Thirsty Milo... or two!  You won't reach for those leaky, unstable, messy water bowls again.

Disclosure: Thirsty Milo sent one Portable Dog Water Bowl to Lapdog Creations, free of charge for review purposes. I was not compensated for this review and all opinions expressed are my own.

That looks like a great invention. I carry water bottles and a tiny Glad Ware bowl for Wrigs. This looks like it might be a good alternative, though I'm not sure it would fit in my lumbar pack.

That looks like a good idea but we'd need the super jumbo size for our crowd.

Very nice. We just use the collapsible bowl and bottled water though... Maybe if the collapisble bowl ever wears out?

Nifty idea! I've got a little fold-up waterbowl that I keep in my pocket when we're at the park. This is much cuter, though. :)
