Let's #GetTough on Dog Fighting #ASPCA

Today, April 8, is National Dog Fighting Awareness Day and we are helping the ASPCA #GetTough on dog fighting!

3 rescued dogs wearing ASPCA bandanas

Disclosure: The ASPCA sent a #GetTough gift pack to Lapdog Creations, free of charge. We only share information that we feel is relevant to our readers, and all opinions expressed are our own. We feel strongly about ending dog fighting and will do everything we can to help spread the word. ASPCA is responsible for the giveaway prize.

Will you join us in helping the ASPCA spread the word, along with famous actor and pit bull advocate, Patrick Stewart? We've even got a great gift pack of ASPCA goodies to give away to one lucky winner!

Stay Alert for signs of dog fighting
  • If you see something, say something. Report suspected animal cruelty to law enforcement. Way too often, abuse goes unreported because people turn a blind eye or don't want to get involved. Be the voice for dogs who have none - they need us!
Advocate for stronger penalties for dog fighters

We're promoting training classes and activities that dogs and their peeps can do together. We're also supporting our local shelter. Next yarn sale I'll stock up for knitting blankets for the shelter.

I live in Toledo, which is an hour south of Detroit. This is a big issue for us. I need to do the selfie, that would be fun! Thanks for sharing and promoting this cause. It's so sad that people think of this as entertainment.

I #GetTough on dog fighting by getting with the people on my Facebook group to be aware of who they sell and give their puppies to because of all the dog figthing going on. It is horrible that they raise the dogs to fight, but even worse that they use the weaker dogs as bait!!! And I share every post I find!
