Rain, Rain GO AWAY

Like Paula, we're in the midst of some major thunderstorms and more tropic-than-New-England-like weather that we all wish would just go away already! Two weeks of rain and nasty storms is really taking a toll. The dogs don't like it at all and neither do I...I've had a thing with lightning ever since it hit the house next door a few years ago... I. DO. NOT. LIKE. IT. Our news is flooded with reports of lightning strikes, house fires, downed trees, hail and tornado warnings. Tornado warnings you say??!! Yes, I too thought I lived in the land of nor'easters and snow... ugh.

I also have a nasty migraine headache that I just can't shake and therefore, this will be a quick picture post for Dogs on Thursday...

When they haven't been hiding from the storms or sticking like glue to Mommy & Daddy, the kids have been just trying to stay cool...

Zeus ~ happy dog, then hearing there were more storms coming...

I have to agree, enough with the rain already. When little Abbie hears thunder she comes running to us and stays really close and whines. the noise hurts her ears. The storms have been pretty bad this year in the North East we're waiting on another cell of thunder boomers to plow on through :(

sorry about the headache, had that yeaterday and even the canadian tylenol was not helping. Gin did though! I just had gotten home from work and my father in law was calling me to see if i had heard from mom, she looks to have been about 40 minutes north of the storms...but i have not been able to get ahold of her yet. So will be caling her in the early morning! I am glad you were so far south of it as well. I remember once when i was a kid we had something similar happen with tornados as well, freaky in the mtns! Glad you were safe!

If you don't have high blood pressure, try blending essential oils of rosemary and peppermint. Dab a drop on each temple and rub slowly in a circular motion, then lie down for a while. This usually helped our niece when she got migraines at work.
