And... I found a new use for a not-so-old thing. If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you may remember the beautiful Calorimetry made for me by the wonderful Criquette in the Spring Coffee Swap. It is on the large side and although I do love it, its not always wearable in the manner it was meant to be. Then... an ah-ha moment was had!
Yes folks, Calorimetry doubles as a fantastic cowl! So if you're one of the many who have one that's on the large side (I hear that's an issue with the pattern), go try it on around your neck.
This past Saturday we headed to Conneticut and I got to spend time with Teri & Brenda for the WVU vs UCONN game. Teri & I met years ago through Jerry Nadeau stuff and she has become one of my nearest & dearest friends, however I usually only get to see her once a year and it usually looks something like this...
Actually, that's not true - at the track we usually look a lot worse for wear, especially with the hot temps & sticky humidity of North Carolina! It was great to see them and have The Girls together for something other than a race...
Here we are, pre and post game... it got a bit chilly along the way, but overall was a wonderful fall day for a football game!
WVU won and I think we've started a new every-other-year tradition, as they both said this was one of their better away game trips ever.
Here's Matt & I and a shot of the WVU band in their famous state formation...
I still can't believe its November already - I actually passed my first Christmas light sighting on the way to vote today! But, with a new month comes new doggy pictures up at Planet Dog and we just found out that we have 3 up this month (and in the running for the shopping spree)! Check them out here. You'll find a shot of the 4 on the first page, Teutul on the second and Sophie on the third.
Happy Voting Day... get out there if you haven't already!

SNOL... glad you found a use for the pretty Calorimetry...
That is the same yellow in my college's colors. It looks better with that blue than with the royal purple of Trinity.
They should call it a cowl-ometry!
Heeheehee!
Yes, I voted on my way to work this morning. Lets hope for some real change now...
I think that is a great way to wear it. I can't stand a big bunch of stuff on the back of my neck under my hair.
Great Idea! I made myself one and it's big ... well, huge actually, but really pretty!
Hey what fun!
I love your Calorimetry and the colors!
Yippee! I'm so glad you figured something out. What a great idea, too. Inspired really. Now I must be a copycat and make a superbig one for myself!
My senior is looking to go to WVU which is only an hour away.
Thanks for sharing the pics. Nice idea for the calorimetry.
