Goodbye Willy, Hello Kenzie

Yesterday was a busy day! We had some birthdays and even a new birth ~ congrats to Nate & Kerri who welcomed baby Kenzie into this world yesterday morning!

I had a work industry banquet event, which I, as Education & Events Chair, had the stressful pleasure of planning ... and today is my big relief after a night that went quite well if I do say so myself...

On a sad note, yesterday's birthdays included my dear friend Jada's little man Willy, whom she describes as the most loyal man in her life. Unfortunately, sweet Willy left us for the Rainbow Bridge on the morning of his 11th birthday after suffering from congestive heart failure. He will be missed by all, especially his Mom and his human sister Natalie...

We will all miss you dearly Willy. It won't be the same visiting again, not having you there to climb up on my lap and fall asleep, but I'm glad to know that you are no longer suffering. Here we are with little Willy and Nat from a visit a few years back...

Now if you're local... don't miss Christmas At The Garden! The annual Christmas Fair at A Knitter's Garden is this Saturday & Sunday from 10am - 4pm. Stop by for a cup of mulled cider and some cookies... and get a jump on your holiday shopping with many handknit items, handmade jewelry and more (not to mention all those great yarns for the items on your to knit list!). Joanne will be waiting...

I'll leave you with a little Friday Fill-In...

1. Snow is best enjoyed when you can stay at home and not have to head out on the roads.

2. I'm looking forward to a few extra days off over Christmas & New Year's.

3. Facebook is the best catching-up-with-people-you-haven't-heard-from-in-15-years tool ever!

4. One of my favorite old tv shows is The Nanny.

5. I'm done with being Events & Education Chair for the AANH... I've "retired" so to speak.

6. The most enjoyable thing around the holidays is time with the people you love.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching Ghost Whisperer, tomorrow my plans include going to see How The Grinch Stole Christmas broadway show in Boston and Sunday, I want to head down to A Knitter's Garden for the holiday fair!

oh man...it's just to tough to read about losing a pet...I can barely stand to think about it.

The Nanny was a good show, but oh, her voice LOL!

Thanks for playing and enjoy your weekend :-)

I'm so sorry for her for losing Willy. Like her, I often say the most loyal person to me is my dog!
