When our friends over at Chewy.com asked us if we would review Orijen Freeze-Dried Dog Treats, the Lapdogs howled in song at the chance to do so!  They have had various freeze-dried beef and chicken treats in the past and always go nuts for more, so I was sure these would be a hit!

Orijen Freeze-Dried Dog Treats are made in Canada with 100% meat, poultry or fish, using special flash-freezing techniques without cooking or adding preservatives.  This process allows all of the nutrients and amazing flavors of the fresh ingredients to be fully retained in a bite-size treat that dogs are sure to love!  These ingredients are all delivered fresh or raw to Orijen, who use only free-range protein sources perfectly matched to the carnivorous needs of our dogs.

Orijen_Tut_7213dCropOrijen Freeze-Dried Dog Treats are available in several different flavors, including Black Angus Beef, Free Range Bison, Brome Lake Duck, Tundra, Ranch Raised Lamb, Alberta Wild Boar, Regional Red and Original.

We opted to try the Tundra variety.  These grain-free treats are made with 6 simple, wholesome ingredients: boneless venison, elk liver, boneless elk, venison liver, boneless quail and steelhead trout. Yes, I said venison, elk, quail and steelhead trout - you can't ask for better game protein sources!  These ingredients are designed to not only provide excellent nutrition for our 4-legged friends, but a delish taste as well.

Orijen_Zeus_7213Additionally, Orijen Tundra Treats have only 5 calories, making them perfect for between meal snacking or training.  With 2 senior dogs and 2 allergy prone dogs in the Lapdog household, these freeze-dried treats really are perfect for our needs!  In fact, the Lapdogs have given Orijen Freeze-Dried Tundra Dog Treats their Official 16 Paws Up Seal of Approval!  They have been begging for more ever since our review taste-test!

If you're looking for some fantastic freeze-dried game treats for your pack, check out all of the flavors Orijen has to offer at Chewy.com, where you will always receive free 1-2 day shipping on orders over $49!

Disclosure: Chewy.com sent 2 bags of Orijen Tundra Treats to Lapdog Creations, free of charge for review purposes. I was not compensated for this review and all opinions expressed are my own.

OK, you know my boys would demand Bison flavor for baby Brutus. Something about helping him become a mighty hunter...

How nice for your pups that they are the official taste testers for all these yummy products you review! Wrigs never met a treat he didn't love. Unfortunately, he's stuck with the ones I make for him because of his dietary restrictions. :-)

Chester and Gretel loved these treats. We got a package for review and I have bought two since then.

We have used the Orijen fish kibble in a pinch for Sis, so I was disappointed to see the treats are Sis-diet-friendly. Oh well... glad your kids enjoyed them!

I love mr.chewy and my gang love the freeze dried treats from orijen ... I home cook but thought I would try the dry kibble wish I had ordered the fish due to the fat but heck the others can eat it and my schnauzer can eat the f6 fish or senior kibble... will have to run out and get the other bag but smaller for just her as she is a mini.now the adding kibble to their home made until they get adjusted. I need time off from home cooking and feel this is safe food.
