Today is a little bittersweet for us, as it marks the second birthday without Lola. Please think of her, on what would have been her 14th birthday. She is missed more than words can say.

Lola, doberman mix rescue dog

Enjoy the rest of your 4th... Tuesday morning will be here before we know it!

I'm sure Lola was looking down smiling at what looked like an awesome 4th of July party with your guys. Where did you find those amazing head bands! Loved your pics.

Aww, so sad about Lola -- they leave a permanent imprint on our lives. We're so lucky to have them as long as they can stay. Yes, 4th of July -- Tashi thought he should have some hamburger or hot dog or something interesting! He's nearly 17, so he had some grass fed burger as a treat atop his dinner ;) Thanks for sharing your photos, looks like it was a fun pawty!

They are all adorable. Hugs on missing Lola! Our dogs were all kenneled because fireworks were going off at all hours. Better safe than sorry.

I know these anniversaries are so difficult. We lost our dog, Pip, on October 19, 2013 so we are coming up on our third anniversary and I still feel so sad thinking about it.

Adorable pictures! Hope you had a wonderful holiday.

What great pics! Hope you all had a safe and happy Fourth. Lola I'm sure was enjoying herself at the Rainbow Bridge...it was bittersweet here as well as it was the first Fourth without my sweet boy Gibson. I'd like to think of them both watching the fireworks from their wonderful view from the Bridge.

I know exactly what you feel in missing your sweetie. I carry that angst with me over missing my Brandy Noel. Sweet photos here.

These are amazing photos and memories to cherish. Yes, so hard to lose someone and even more so during a holiday. My good friend lost her Boxer on the first. In the years to come I hope she see it as a very special holiday for Layla. Lola & Layla xoxo
