Happy Birthday Sophie - Nifty #9!

I don't know how the years pass so quickly, but our little hound girl is 9 years old today!

Before we get into the "year in photos" recap, here's one in honor of Black & White Sunday...

Life with a Princess is always fun... and quite entertaining.

Despite her shyness around other people, she is a total ham in the comfort of her own home.

 

 

Sophie is a hard worker, always ready to go when treats come in for review.

Our little "Snowphie" sure loves the white stuff (but not the cold)...

She loves spending time on the deck, watching for critters.

 

 

Hedgie-buddies are her favorite...

 

Like most of us, she loves cake!  This is last year's, but don't worry... this year's is ready to go later today.

2015 has been difficult for all of us. Our shy little girl really misses her big brother and sister.  Zeus was always her protector, and Lola her best buddy.

Lola and Sophie shared a very special sister bond. I was worried about her, but am happy to say it's been amazing to watch a loving sister bond grow between Sophie and Penny. Sophie has been teaching her little sister a lot.

The resemblance and role reversal amaze me. Just look at the shots above of Lola and Sophie, and then of Sophie and Penny. Here's two more for good measure - Lola on the left, Penny on the right.  Sisterly love, indeed...

Then there's that hooey hound bond she has with Tut...
