Spring To-Do's

Once again, I had planned a few reviews for this week, but the weather has not been cooperating for my photo shoots.  Sure, I could review the products without cute outdoor shots, but I'd rather wait.  So... Happy Ten on (another Rainy) Tuesday!  Today's topic is Ten Items on Your Spring To-Do List.  I tried to make my list more creative than all about housework...

1. Get the tomato plants potted that the Lapdogs got me for Mommy's Day.

2. Get the strawberry plants potted that I picked up today.

3. Keep my container garden alive and growing! (so far, so good)

4. Make a pizza on the grill.  I've been dying to do pizza on the grill....

5. Clean the oven.

6. Give the Lapdogs their spring baths.

7. Finally get my Cricket put back together and learn how to warp... and weave!

8. Continue working on de-cluttering... and sends lots of bags to Goodwill.

9. Finish at least some of my 101 WIP's.

10. Sand down and repaint the railing on the front stairs.

Monday Mischief

Happy Monday!  I'm a little late with my post this afternoon, but wanted to wrap up the weekend with a little Monday Mischief (furbaby Moms, hop on!) from my boys... Instagram style (because what else makes our ho-hum shots look so good?)!

First up, my little boy Tut.  While I thought it was a cute little toothy shot, his Daddy thought he looked like he was up to no good...

Doesn't my big guy Zeus look like an angel sleeping?

My boys really are the best, along with their sisters (their Daddy rocks too).  Look at what they surprised me with for Mommy's day... a few Beefsteak tomato plants for my growing container garden and some yummies from The Chocolate Moose (the boxes contain truffles and chocolate covered strawberries)!

Happy Mommy's Day!

Wishing a very Happy Mother's Day to all of the
Moms out there... of both 2 and 4 legged children!

The Lapdogs send lots of sloppy wet kisses and high-fives to their Grammy, Grandma Sue and Chris!

I'll be spending my Mom's Day at the race track with our NELCAR family, which includes some very lovely ladies.... some of which are also knitters!  I think Diane, Wanda and I were actually chatting about knitting when the photographer came by and snapped this shot last weekend!

Another Friday, Another WIP

I swear I was just typing about how it couldn't possibly be Friday again already, wasn't I?  Where did the week fly away to?  It sure was a rainy, dreary one here, but the sun is shining today... at least for the moment anyway.  With all that rain you'd think - once again - that I'd have some knitting to show for it, right?  Yeah, not so much... I did get a Spiral Hat off the needles, but no photos.  I managed a few rounds on this Baby Breeze Block Hat at the track on Saturday (track projects must be as basic as possible since I'm always getting interrupted).  I adore this pattern and deciding to experiment with Bernat Baby Stretch...

I hope you are having a fantastic Friday and have a fabulous weekend ahead.  Happy early Mother's Day to all (those with both 2 legged and 4 legged children, of course).  If you've been following the story of Lilly (on my blog or in the news) the past few days, I'm happy to report that they have far surpassed the money to cover her vet bills.  Last check, they were up to $70,000 in donations!  The excess will be used to treat other animals in similar circumstances at Angell Animal Medical Center!

I'll leave you with Friday Fill-Ins...

1. What a beautiful day!

I Instagramed the Morning Sun...

2. I need another bag like I need a moth in my yarn stash, right?  However I find myself eyeing Jordana Paige's beautiful L.J. Kaelms tote in green.

3. It's no surprise Rachel and Dave won The Amazing Race... although I was pulling for Vanessa and Ralph after Mark and Bopper were eliminated.

4. Letting go wasn't easy, but it makes life so much more joyful.

5. I like to try new recipes, especially with fresh veggies from the farmer's market.

6. "Drive By" by Train is one of my most favorite songs right now!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to the season finale of Fringe (I can't believe next season will be the last one though... no!!!), tomorrow my plans include hopefully a trip to the NH Sheep & Wool Festival and Sunday, I want to enjoy a great day with our NELCAR family at the race track!

Lilly the Hero

Happy Dogs on Thursday / Thorsday / Thankful Thursday / Little Friday.  What are you thankful for today?  I'm thankful for one-in-a-million dogs like Lilly.  Although I've never met this sweet girl, her story has truly touched my heart beyond words this week (as may be evident, given this is the third day in a row I'm posting about this beautiful pittie).  Check out his video made by a family member of Lilly's... and please, as I've asked all week long, share Lilly's story far and wide... and help her if you can.

Lilly the Amazing Pit Bull - update

I don't normally post twice in one day, but really wanted to share this video update of Lilly the brave and amazing pittie whose story I shared with you yesterday.  I cried when I first read her story and I cried again watching this video from CNN.... then I found out that the police officer in the story (the man who adopted Lilly to be his Mom's companion) is the half-brother of a friend of ours.  The world truly is a small place... and Lilly's story needs to spread far and wide within it.  Will you please help me to do that?  It's the very least Lilly deserves...
