Speaking of handknits... I'm slowly, but surely getting back into a knitting groove. I have a gazillion UFO's that I really want to pay more attention too and I'd like to get working on some holiday gifts. My Knit It Tonight Cowl should certainly be done by now, but I keep setting it aside
I picked my Montego Bay Scarf back up (after it hibernated for a long time) at the race track this week. I think this will be a perfect early fall wardrobe addition...
I always have a simple baby hat on my needles for no-brainer knitting (face it, we all need that, don't we?). This one has been my morning knitting this week. I really love the brown/blue combo, but haven't decided yet if I like the way the yarn is striping on an angle.
I certainly should not be casting on anything new, it's looks like I have a good excuse this week! I just received two skeins of Debbie Bliss yarn for review, Winter Garden and Blue Faced Leicester Aran. I
Speaking of reviews, if you only stop by on Fridays be sure to hop on back and check out the Unsaid book giveaway I have going on this week! I am giving away 1 - 3 copies, depending on how many entries are received.
What are you working on this weekend? Are you taking part in the Ravelympics? This is the first time I sat out and while I do miss the fun, I'm glad. It's been a hectic and stressful time lately, so that's one less obligation right now. I'm too busy trying to enjoy our last few days with my little Boo man! After five weeks, we're all really going to miss him. He and Sophie have been constant nap buddies and I adore this shot of them sharing the morning sun spot yesterday...
Here is a sneak peak of Boo (who will be known as Phil after Sunday) with his new sister Brita. Don't you love how he's looking back at her in the second shot, as if to say "come on lady, hurry up... let's play!" Sunday is going to be so bittersweet....

Oh, you're all going to miss that little guy.
I need to start a new project this weekend. If only I could decide on one.

So happy Boo-Phil found a good home, but I know you'll miss him.
Sunday will be bittersweet, but you'll be happy to know that the future Phil will be well loved. I'm helping Kellie organize her life to move to Knoxville for her new job, which starts in 10 days. It's really hard to let the kids go, whether they have 2 feet or 4.
Phil? that's quite a name for a little dog! I love all the pictures you are posting here and on Facebook. Your scarf is lovely!
Look at all of those projects.
Hooray for Boo finding a family. I'm glad he is going to a home that will love him. It must be hard to see your four legged kids go.
love looking at your knits!
I'm so glad he's found a good home! I know you're going to miss him, though.
I started a new shawl..."Omelet". I needed a break from all the hexi's. lol
Your knits are very cute and colorful. It's just a gorgeous color! Can't wait to see your future post for all of your knits. Thanks for sharing!
