Catching Up on Friday...

I promised I had some more catching up to do, including showing off saying Thank You publicly for some lovely bday goodies!

I got some great additions to my knitting library! My non-blogging friend Cydney sent me Knitting Circles Around Socks, as well as a Cirque Du Soleil Delirium CD, which happens to be the last Cirque show I saw this past June! The lovely, and so thoughtful, Nicole totally surprised me with a couple more books off of my Amazon wish list... Knits for Cats & Dogs (so cute!) and Yarn Play. Thank you girls, I am sure I will find loads of new projects in these!

More crafty goodyness... One of my dearest friends Teri sent me a Cloverfileds bag, which just so happens to be a perfect size knitting tote, complete with lots of pockets and a zipper closure (which most of my knitting bags lack and hence end up spilling out in the car). Cloverfields bags are made in Lancaster County, PA and I always admire Teri's bags every time we get together in Charlotte.... and now I have one to call my own! Thanks hun! Speaking of people remembering things, back in July while spending way too much money browsing at the Knit & Crochet show I had made mention to Mom-Sue (Matt's stepmom) that I was in need of a really good pair of scissors, as well as a wraps-per-inch tool. Guess who remembered? I got a lovely box from Sue & Dad C. with a wonderful pair of 5" Gingher Knife Edge Craft scissors and a WPI tool kit, plus a hilarious scissors leash and some blocking pins! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Always thinking, another very good and blogless friend, Karen sent me a great caffinated package from Crate & Barrel that'll help keep me knitting away well in to the night! She sent a nice big white "coffee" mug, some delicious smelling coffee and super yummy Maple Pumpkin Butter! As you can clearly see, this package smelled so yummy, it had to be investigated...

Speaking of keeping me chained to my desk a happy camper, do you
think my boss was trying to prepare me for some long nights at my desk with this bag of goodies? 100 Calorie Packs, Chocolate and Kahlua... its like a snow-day-in-a-bag kit... "just add your own WIP"!

I know Chan wanted some yarn pics, which I'll post shortly (I did add them to my stash on Ravelry if you can't wait), but in the meantime I'll leave you with how I spent my Columbus Day holiday on Monday... I got quite a bit wound up!

I'm so glad you liked your gift and that it was a nice surprise for you. Its the least I could do for someone that does so much for the furry ones in the world.

Have a great weekend!

Let's have a KAL from the Socks on Two Circs. If my second attempt is anything like my first, the Knight will likely spring for a plane ticket for one of us so you can help me. I was trying the first Fixation pattern, but couldn't figure out how to join the second sock...

I'm glad you're getting showered with gifts!!
