A final catch up from the Wool Tour last week... the goods I brought home (Chan, did you get your fix by checking them out on Ravelry?)!
Peruvian Tweed, Superfine Alpaca for a shawl... in what I'll call "Nichole's dogs" colorway...
Some local wool, Pepper's Promise in a 100% natural shade...
My splurge of the day, the Thanksgiving Shawl kit! The yarn is Araucania Atacama alpaca... super soft, in a most beautiful blue colorway!
Some more local yarn, a sooooooo soft wool/silk blend from Painted Knoll Farm, sold with pattern for a basic hat (and an extra bit of a multicolor wool, as the woman was worried there may not be enough of the wool/silk for the hat and thought I could add a stripe if needed)...
I also found some yummy Malabrigo in a very fallish colorway that I couldn't resist...
That's it... I did pretty good with fiber restraint, don't you think? I did also purchase some beautiful handmade buttons and some lovely skin care products from Moore Naturally...
That's it for photos, as I need to download some off the camera....and will have some photos to share later this week. We have a great little girl with us this week, Miss Sophie. She is a very special little lady who is in need of a very patient, loving home.
I want to thank Grace for the wonderful birthday box of goodies she sent to me (photo to come)! It was very sweet and so appreciated!
And guess what? I won something! Yes, I am a winner of Yarn Collectors Anonymous blog contest! WOO HOO! I won a skein of Socks That Rock yarn... how cool is that?!?! There's been a lot of blogging contests going on lately... so much fun! Please don't forget to check out mine! You have plenty of time to enter! I'll be announcing the prizes shortly... they will be good ones, I promise! I'll end today's post with wishing my Mom a Happy Birthday! Love you Mom!
